Thank you for lovely post Daisy. I hope everyone here had a happy Xmas & New Year, including bridget's friend.

I would like to add my well wishes to all whose lives feature family estrangements. No matter what led people there, it must be so hard to not have family support and company at this time.

Wishing all health and peace for Christmas

Lovely message Daisy. I feel for everyone, but especially my dear friend, whose two daughters have estranged from her. It is so so hard for her, but especially now. As I understand it, my friend is at a loss as to why it has come about. I accept there are always two sides to any story, but to see the despair and anguish on her face is heartbreaking. Peace to us all.

Thank you for your lovely OP Daisy.

Christmas is the hardest time of the year and I hope that you and all who are estranged will find some and peace and happiness.

I just wanted to say as someone who knows how hard it is....we just have to keep strong. It's very difficult.....anyone touched by estrangement all year round, but especially upsetting at Christmas, I seem to feel it more this time of year.
This is definitely not how I wanted things to be or turn out, but sometimes the peace, no drama, the ease of just being with people who genuinely care for you is all that matters.

So sending a genuine I understand if you are hurting and wishing you the best it can be for you at this time of year.

Let's hope and pray for kindness and forgiveness to all people having a difficult time coping with estrangement of any sort.

We can still send our love and think of them.

I'm thinking of you all and whatever your situation I hope you find strength and happiness over the next few days.
