The number one ladies detective agency strikes again....

Serendipity22 Wed 05-Jan-22 19:56:49

How can you POSSIBLY POSSIBLY know that my post about the compensation cheque was as YOU say a "lie".

In that case you might as well say that every mortal post on Gransnet are lies, fabricated, drawing attention, i mean for GOODNESS SAKE Germanshepherd how can anyone believe ANYONE on here ?

Tell me what on EARTH can i possibly do to PROVE my thread was 100% genuine ? AND MORE TO THE POINT, W-H-Y DO I NEED TO PROVE MYSELF????????? why are you labelling me a liar ?????

So, everyone on here are liars or are you signalling just ME out ???

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 05-Jan-22 19:54:40

Exactly how I feel.

Sorry......
It was just a roundabout way of asking had others experienced an elephant in the room ......

The only possible answer to the above question would be yes or no. You haven’t told us what your elephant is but you seem to want others to tell you ( and the world) theirs

BlueBelle Wed 05-Jan-22 19:46:36

New title for this thread
SERENDIPITY HAS HAD AN ‘ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM’ MOMENT HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED THIS ?’
Subtitle
Looking forward to hearing your stories

Elegran

I didnt realise that i had to tell warts and all which to get the full story across would take a long LONG time to tap out, i was just feeling compelled to start a thread on the basis of elephant in the room and how something that had not seen the light of day for nee on 30 years, 2 days ago it was on full view

Totally and utterly my fault for not wording it correctly, apologies....x

nandad Wed 05-Jan-22 19:37:09

Serendipity22

Sorry everyone x

I NOW realise i hadn't worded it correctly, apologies.

Flowers and wine for everyone as a sorry.

flowerswine

No need to apologise but thanks for the wine.

Elegran Wed 05-Jan-22 19:37:04

I wasn't being unpleasant, MissAdventure, just answering a question. I started reading the first post and couldn't make head or tail of it. When Serendipity realised that what she was typing just wasn't going anywhere, she could have just deleted it, thought about it, and started again. Or not started again, if she decided she didn't want to explain herself.

nandad Wed 05-Jan-22 19:35:48

Really? Do people feel that they have to reply to every post? Scroll on by if you can’t contribute/are not interested but it seems that some GNetters just want to be rude for the sake of it. Is it that you are so bored or your life is so small that you are getting some sort of enjoyment from it?

Serendipity22 Wed 05-Jan-22 19:32:21

Thanks MissAdventure

I hadn't realised that the tile was misleading to some.....

Elegran Wed 05-Jan-22 19:30:11

Oh, I see. You have a secret, and you are telling us you have a secret, but you are not going to tell us what the secret is, so there.

OK.

Serendipity22 Wed 05-Jan-22 19:30:09

Sorry everyone x

I NOW realise i hadn't worded it correctly, apologies.

Flowers and wine for everyone as a sorry.

MissAdventure Wed 05-Jan-22 19:29:42

I don't see any of what you've said as a reason for people to be unpleasant, elegran.

BlueBelle Wed 05-Jan-22 19:25:37

Nothing wrong serendippy but that’s not how your title read at all I didn’t see you asking if anyone had ever had an elephant in the room experience but just that you d started a thread that you now didn’t feel you could follow through with

Perhaps your title should read Has anyone ever had an elephant in the room experience ?
Then you might get some stories

AreWeThereYet Wed 05-Jan-22 19:25:29

Gosh

Elegran Wed 05-Jan-22 19:24:47

MissAdventure

Why are you all being unpleasant?

Probably because everybody was throughly confused and annoyedby the OP's first post. The elephant in the room that was obvious to all but not mentioned was presumably that somewhere there was something she could say, but she wasn't going to tell us what it was. So why bother posting that you are not going to tell what you are posting about?

I am not going to tell you what I had for tea tonight. That should be worth starting a new thread for!

Serendipity22 Wed 05-Jan-22 19:19:07

Ohhhh my life !!!!!!

Germanshepherd i had experienced what is known as ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM....

As in - a situation that is not spoken about but which annoys, which lead me to start a thread asking others HAVE YOU BEEN IN SIMILAR SITUATIONS!!!

What is wrong with that? Isnt that was Gransnet it all about??

Its people like you Germanshepherd who make what is MEANT to be a pleasant, pleasing, enlightening experience into a very hurtful 1.

So basically, everyone who posts on Gransnet is fabricating and its their intention to lead everyone a merry dance ?

Give me a straight, logical reason for your negativeness towards me.

MissAdventure Wed 05-Jan-22 19:16:06

I've let a cat out of a bag, before.
It was an elephant in the room until then.

Oopsadaisy1 Wed 05-Jan-22 19:11:25

Well I have a more interesting ‘Elephant in the room ‘ story which might be a problem tomorrow evening, we will all be thinking something but I don’t know if anyone will mention it, I know I won’t.
