What I picked up on from the original statement was that the general consensus amongst members was that females aged between 12 to 24 require/deserve? a dedicated safe space ..it would seem then that any woman over 24 was not conducive to the provision of a safe space. If true this is astonishingly ageist, but also laughable that they think they can get away with it. 😲
Is that proposal even legal? wouldn't it breach some sort of discriminatory law. They must be confident of the age demographic of their clientele. The health clubs I've belonged to have wanted to reel their members in from the cradle to the grave. Creches to keep fit classes tailored for their older members.
As for the employee who deemed those over 50 really old women "you'll be there before you know it"
