The saying is that you should breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper for a healthy life. Did you have breakfast today? What was it? Was it healthy and nourishing ?
I had two slices of toast, butter (I love butter, whatever the health police say) and Marmite with four cherry tomatoes, followed by an apple.
Where did you find that?

When I am working I get up about 5:30 to let dogs out into the garden (sorry neighbours for the barking but puppy is still learning not to bark). I then make some porridge with a banana cut into it and a cup of black coffee. Dogs love their porridge (minus banana) and if I have made fresh bread the day before I will have a slice of that toasted. Then we all sit on my bed and watch the morning news before I have to shower and leave for school. If I sleep in I take some Oat so Simple to school and have it in the staffroom either before the kids come in or at playtime!
Wholemeal toast with marmite, a banana and a glass of milk. I buy breakfast cereal but can't seem to face eating it recently.
Porridge with skimmed milk and sliced banana, shared with my 2 year old granddaughter who has already eaten 2 weetabix with milk and some of her grandad's muesli. Breakfast is her favourite meal. I wish she would eat as well throughout the day.
Today was porridge and Golden Syrup, yesterday was toast and home made marmalade
I was a bad girl this morning! I finished up a cold bread and butter pudding made with low fat hot cross buns and skimmed milk.
My normal breakfast is a wholewheat cereal with skimmed milk and a piece of fruit. I dislike tea and coffee, usually drinking tap water.
When DOC retired we agreed that he would not only bring me early morning tea (which he has done for 43 years) but also bring me breakfast in bed. If you are lucky enough to have a DOC (acronym for Dear Old Chap) I urge you to invite him to follow DOC's example.
I have freshly squeezed grapefruit or orange juice + grapes and an apple or a clementine and berries. Sometimes I have Weetabix or Bran Flakes to ring the changes.
Much to my annoyance I read recently that fresh fruit contains loads of fructose so is therefore fattening. But I bet it's not as fattening as toast, butter and home-made marmalade (marmalade-makers will know what an astonishing amount of sugar goes into marmalade).
Breakfast in bed is not a luxury. It is a necessity. It gives DOC a chance to empty the DW, tidy the kitchen, have his own breakfast in peace and sing to himself whilst doing the chores.
And it gives me a chance to multi-task e.g. watch Breakfast television, listen to Radio 4, read the previous day's papers and/or my book, phone fellow breakfast-in-bedders and look at my "to do" list.
Life is sweet ...
PS: Please don't feel sorry for DOC. I prepare and cook lunch AND supper. So he's lucky too.
I make my own muesli - always make two big mixing bowls full which then keep OH and I going for a month or so. Mix started out as amalgamation of Nigella's granola recipe, eat to beat the menopause recipe and whatever I managed to find in the local (so called) health food shop but has evolved into a mix that always has in it:
Oats, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts, coconut flakes, flaked almonds, hazlenuts, linseed, dates, apricots, apple, blue berries, goji berries, figs, whole banana, mango, cherries, cranberries
I have mine with greek yoghurt and OH has his with goats yoghurt.
I also makes great oaty bars for taking on walks
OH swears by it and says that he finds his cycle to work is difficult without it.
What I do need to find tho' is reliable source of good fruit that has not been soaked in/contains sugar. I completely fail to see the health benefits of a packet of dried fruit (eg cranberries) that contains 65% sugar!!!
...should have said all washed down with bucket of strong black coffee (not good for health) and Classic FM (good for health)
As I am on Slimming World I vary my breakfast (its supposed to aid weight loss) and have the following throughout the week
2 weetabix and skimmed milk (if a golf day)
Banana and fat free yogurt (if pottering at home day)
Bacon and Eggs (if there is time)
Smoked haddock and poached egg (Sunday)
occasionally scrambled egg
NO TOAST boo hoo - love buttery honey laden granary toast
NO Dorset cereals another boo hoo love Muesli
This morning I had home mixed muesli with rolled oats, bran, raw sunflower kernels, almonds, pepitas, raisins and sultanas with a very small amount of milk and of course my loose leaf green tea which I always drink through the day. Sometimes I have toast (whole grain) with marmalade.
On weekends I usually have an egg, whole grain bread, tomatoes and bake beans. 
Everyday breakfast - Defrost some Frozen Summer Fruits, top with natural yoghurt, usually Yeo Valley, drizzle with teaspoon runny honey and sprinkle with one of the Dorset Foods cereals. I buy the simply fruity one and mix it half and half with good rolled oats, before putting it in storage box. Really yummy. Sunday's a cooked breakfast with DH.
I don't eat eggs and when we were in America recently most of the breakfast menus consisted of eggs in one form or another. Had to make do with fluffy pancakes drizzled with maple syrup with side orders of bacon or chilled fresh fruit, or French Raisin toast with marscapone and strawberries. Can't wait to go back!!! 
Porridge with soya milk, ground flaxseed, a pinch of cinnamon, blueberries, a mug of green tea, one slice of toast, olive oil spread and low-sugar marmalade. I'm diabetic but very reluctant to give up marmalade. It's been more or less the same for years and years.
I had muesli this morning for the first time in ages. I'm really going to have to start making my own as I find the commercial brands much too sugary. Another thing to add to the 'to do' list. 
I am really not a breakfast person although I do try to eat something most days and despite what they say, I do not end up either snacking during the morning or overeating at lunchtime. My $ year old DGD is the same, it is very difficult to get her to eat breakfast, she simply isnt hungry.
Yesterday and today I didnt have any breakfast and didnt miss it. During the very cold weather last week I generally had something(tinned spaghetti/baked beans/cheese/egg) on toast. I do not like sweet things and have visceral loathing of fresh milk so cereal/porridge is a non-starter. Outside cold weather if I do eat breakfast it is usually fruit juice, fruit and possibly a few nuts.
Muesli, yoghurt, wholemeal toast, butter, marmalade, red berry juice, tea. DGDs had a large bowl of porridge each.
I took Mr Boudoir out for a Valentine's Day breakfast this morning (awww) and had very delicious porridge with prunes in ginger and lemon rind.
He was much less modern and had bacon and egg. He is a creature of habit (fortunately for me).
Porridge with dried blueberries (from Costco - they have a leetle added sugar) with a spoonful of ground flaxseed on top to crank up the fibre etc.
Sometimes a glass of lovely Kiwiappleandlime smoothie from Innocent.
Several mugs of tea. One milky coffee at some time later in morning.
