I include garlic in almost everything I eat – with the possible exception of muesli.

It's interesting that garlic went out of fashion in this country. It's mentioned in The Canterbury Tales.

Garlic is in old English recipes but did go out of fashion at some point! I have always eaten garlic and use it regularly.. but last night OH had a sudden severe and dramatic reaction in the restaurant we were at .. dizziness, clammy, fainted and threw up! This has happened about 5 times in the 46 years I have known him but probably actually over the last 15.. the only thing we can link it to is garlic overload! Anyone else heard of this??

Referring to Owen Glendower, Shakespeare gives Hotspur the words:
"I had rather live
With cheese and garlic in a windmill, far,
Than feed on cates and have him talk to me
In any summer-house in Christendom."

I don't think he liked garlic very much!
