Chicken fajitas (I think that is how you spell it) with a tomato relish and a sour cream sauce, all courtesy of M & S.

Well the salad is from last night when we had it with swordfish steaks and the chicken took about ten minutes to prepare so I haven't spent long cooking either!
I use full-fat yoghurt and don't mess with the low-fat stuff. (isn't it full of sugar?)
Officially told by the doctor today that I am out of BMI overweight and into normal range and my cholesterol has dropped right down without having low-fat anything.

Home-made tandoori chicken with naan bread and a small salad

Steak and ale pies, bought from a very nice cafe/pub/shop place recommended by someone on Gransnet, jacket spuds and carrots.

Raspberries and greek style yogurt for pud.

Tonight it`s marinaded pork chops either grilled or oven baked with new local potatoes and carrots.

DGC here for tea and have requested pizza so that is what they shall have. With strawberries for pud.

Marsala, garlic and ginger fine beans and new potatoes. Yumm!!

We are having seared venison (recipe is beef but had some venison steaks in the bottom of the freezer) with pomegranate and balsamic dressing. I am cooking that and OH is making a dish of yellow pepper, shallots and new potato roasted with rosemary to go with it. I will be trying out Lidl's very dry, pink cava as well.

Chicken Tikka Masala tonight with rice and naan bread slightly cheating having bought a good base sauce and then added a little bit of this and a little bit of that a quick shimmy down the kitchen made decision to add a dollop of something else and voila all ready for the oven

Pasta penne with garlic bread!

Chicken and avocado salad for us with left over strawberries and raspberries and a dab of ice cream for pud.

I was woken from my lovely afternoon nap by the telephone (can't complain it was my new DIL's mum phoning to discuss some pressing matter around the soon-to-come grandson). So I got up and made a lasagna from scratch, with lovely rough cut mince bought from the farmer's market this morning. Will serve it tonight with a fresh green salad with my olive oil, clementine and honey dressing (my current favourite).

Dessert will be the wonderful banana bread I bought, also from the Farmer's Market - from the "Bad Boys" stall, which sells baking by the inmates of HMP Brixton. With a name like that, how could I resist?

Daughter and SIL to be coming for final wedding discussions - she wants me to put the brakes on some of the "grand gestures" around spending - from the male side of the family, say no more.

Ah Grannyknot you lucky duck I watched a programme last year on TV re "Bad Boys" baking and am thrilled to hear they are still in business. I thought at the time what a brilliant idea was it Gordon Ramsey who started it??

DH and DS are having homemade quarter pounder beefburgers from the freezer. They will have 2 each in buns . No idea what I'm having. Saturday dinner is always a lazy do.

Tonight was lovely fresh red mullet fillets from the market, simply baked with olive oil and preserved lemon with a pearled spelt, feta, mint and avocado salad.

Tonight for dinner DD and I shared one giant cheese straw between us. And that was it. And I've just had six cherries.

Tonight I had a pork chop (from our own pig), mange tout - picked an hour before from the allotment and a salad of beetroot and potato with mayonnaise and chives. Prepared by the Wonderful Man and delicious.

I just keep having a vision of you and your DD trying to get a giant cheese straw into the oven!

And I keep having a vision of grannyactivist's pig running around with a chop missing...
