Yes we have been on this for over a year. I have lost 16kg and OH 26kg. I love being a size 12 and back to how I was before the menopause hit. We have seen a similar drop in glucose, BP and cholesterol and OH has been taken off statins. We now have a slice of spelt bread a day, fruit, muesli and a couple of glasses of wine when we feel like it too. We don't overdo the fat but eat meat, butter, cheese, plus lots of different veg. We find it very easy to eat out too because you can have steak and salad, roast veg instead of potato etc. We never were very keen on cakes or puddings so cutting out sugar has not been difficult for us.
I think there is a bit more discussion about this diet now, but our doctor was similarly astonished by the weight loss.
We also feel very fit and healthy, sleep well and OH has far less joint pain because of weight loss and coming off statins.
What's not to like? grin

I don't think it's a good idea to reduce carbs too much Ga in the long term.
I am trying to reduce sugars as much as possible, but I still have low GI carbs like wholemeal bread and potatoes.

Is anyone else doing this? I switched my eating plan to this at the end of the first week in January and I absolutely love it. I usually have eggs and bacon for breakfast, veggie soup with cream or cheese for lunch and meat/fish/chicken with veggies or salad for dinner (if I can fit it in). I have a recipe for some low carb nut biscuits, but am usually so full that I've only made one mixture and even sharing the biscuits with my husband they lasted several days.
I haven't been hungry at all and after a couple of weeks of being very tired I am now full of energy, yet sleeping better at night than I have done for years.
But, the most amazing result is that my blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose levels have all taken a massive tumble and are now officially low. My GP is slightly bemused at my excellent blood test results and has cautioned me to go steady on the fats, but can't argue that the figures speak for themselves.
Losing more than a stone and a half in weight is just the icing on the cake. Except of course that there is no cake on this eating plan! grin
