salmon skin

We've bought a beautiful side of smoked salmon, ready sliced. I've packed it into separate portions and I'm left with the skin.
I've tried to cut it up as a treat for the animals, using various scissors, knives, even secateurs, but it's as tough as leather.
Any ideas how to cut it?

Cured salmon skin is used to make wallets with, so I don't fancy your chances of cutting it up!

Dogs' teeth will make short work of it!!

If it's that tough I would just recycle it, because the scales on it will be large and quite hard and may stick in their throats.

I mean recycle in the food waste bin.

Leave it on the fish, descale and then it's perfectly OK to eat. Waste not want not .......

I managed to cut up the tailend skin with my trusty kitchen scissors, binned the rest.
It was Norwegian (sorry, Scottish ladies.) And a good price - 25.50€ a kilo - about £22.

I love salmon skin when it's been fried in butter. I save it for last. Yum, yum!
