Apparently it's Eat What you Want Day. What a shame I've only just realised. Still I'll do my best to make up for lost time grin. So, what would your favourite meal be, if you could have anything. Starter, main and dessert?
S: Calamari rings
M: Fish and chips
D: Chocolate brownie with salted caramel ice cream.

Followed with a coffee. With skimmed milk of course. grin

Oh for goodness sake, MAMA potatoes. NB to self, Preview message

kittylester Fri 12-May-17 10:20:53

I should preview too as they are rightfully Maman Potatoes!! Actually Raymond Blanc's Maman Potatoes.

Floury potatoes peeled and diced [1 cm - sort of)
Heat frying pan then add the dried potatoes and vegetable oil. (Approx `1 tablespoon per large potato)
Fry, stirring occasionally, for approx 30 minutes [ish]
Stir in finely sliced shallot
Fry a touch more
Add one biggish blob of butter, lots of chopped parsley and salt and pepper.

You can cook them really slowly or they keep warm for a while too.

We have them as a healthy alternative to chip pan chips!!!! grin

They sound delish and will certainly be tried this weekend.

OMG ? I'm fasting today. Why did I post on this thread?

Sometimes I will want to enjoy the afternoon tea time with some cakes made of mousse. A cup of jasmine tea, then enjoy the time.

I don't really care much for food. Some of us just eat to live rather than living to eat. My favourites list is odd and will never happen all in one day.

s Pimms and more Pimms with cucumber bits on the side.
m Good red wine, pate on toast with tiny cornichons.
p Syllabub and Prosecco.

Coffee and cream. Chocolates. Courvoisier.

Any fish or shell fish will do - not mussels as I'm unfortunately allergic sad

Lobster would be acceptable.

We've just had king prawns in a lime and mayo sauce with melon and papaya for lunch- dead easy and delicious summery dish.

Puddings - I love junket and clotted cream., or trifle is always good.

I'm thinking summer here aren't I
I'm sure it would be different if it was the winter!!

S - Shrimp Saganaki
M - Lasagne
D - Hot chocolate fudge cake

But sadly I can't eat 3 courses these days.
