My perfect cocktail is the classic Martini shaken not stirred and with a twist not an olive- I shall be mostly making some of these on Election Day being the serious person that I am. What's yours?

A Tom Collins, but Porn Star Martinis are nice too. Remember in my youth trying to impress a date by asking for a Creme de Menthe, barman wrapped some ice in a tea towel and repeatedly shut it in the door frame to crush it, and I had to pretend I liked drinking something that resembled toothpaste lol !

Either a Caprinha ( Brazilian Rum, sugar syrup, lots of lime and crushed ice) or a very pretty Rose Petal Martini ( Gin, Rose Petal Syrup, Lychee Licquer, lemon juice shaken over ice). I've inexplicably suddenly got ver very thirsty!

Hugo Spritz please.

Not sure if a long cool G&T with ice and lemon or lime counts as a cocktail but it's definitely the drink for me. It's clean too, so no hangover.

Just wrapping myself round a large G&T, ice and lime after an exhausting day with DH at two hospital appointments. If it doesn't reach my aching feet before long I might need another one grin

I'm with you Lewlew. Everywhere and anywhere will do. I tend to go for 'cocktail of the day' wherever I am and - surprise, surprise - they all taste pretty good to me. Bring 'em on!
