What’s for breakfast?

I’m devouring the left overs of last night’s Chinese takeaway this morning before the other incumbents find it ?

I normally don’t eat until 1.00pm because I have a pathological dislike of the usual breakfast fare but I can be tempted by cheese....or fruit cake.

What do you breakfast on?

I'm tying to stick to 16:8 so it's brunch around 11am. That's usually cheese and beetroot sandwiched between two slices of wholemeal.

All Bran with a variety of soft fruit with an own brand low cholesterol drink and Greek yoghurt. All mixed together to soften and at least two cups of very weak and milky tea. Every morning without fail.

Muesli of course, lol - with bits of fruit, a few almonds and sunflower seeds. Rooïbosch tea when I wake up, then black coffee - normally about 8.30.

Just had mine at 10... given up on UK guests who are still in bed.

Riverwalk that makes sense. Especially on these lovely bright sunmer mornings. I assume you manage this on a few hours sleep which is still impressive.

Can never enjoy breakfast Monday-Friday so just stick to a cuppa. Usually have toast and/or cereal on a Saturday and Sunday .

Every Sunday we do a big family breakfast. My wifecooks, and I can sit and play with our kids. It’s a lot of fun. Everyone sleeps in, and we usually don’t even end up eating until almost lunch time, so I guess that makes it more like brunch.

Anyways, it changes from week to week, but our choices are usually waffles, or cheesy eggs, or omelettes, and then bacon AND sausage and fruit. We have so much food. I always feel lazy afterwards because we all eat too much, but it’s become sort of a tradition.

One time, my wife made waffle breakfast sandwiches, and those were the best!

Two eggs fried in olive oil, one crispbread, 10 baby plum tomatoes & coffee.

Never have brunch - I'm hungry in the morning so I need to eat early!

I slice of granary style bread from our local bakery, spread with marmite and quark and topped with slices of cucumber, glass of fruit juice, lemon tea.

On Sundays I have toasted cheese on bread and butter and indulge in happy memories of my father making this for me as a child. He and I sat in the kitchen together when my mother and sisters had their breakfasts in bed.

Never have the same every day - why would you? The last week has been
Eggs Benedict
Cheese & ham toastie
Bacon butty
Boiled eggs
Full monty
Mashed avocado & Tabasco on sourdough toast
Smoked salmon & scrambled eggs

Now I’m off to do the Lunch thread.....ooh I do love food!

Pantglas your breakfasts are very much like mine, except I don't eat much bread. Can't be doing with cereals & fruit!

I only eat two meals a day. Late breakfast and evening meal about 6-6.30pm.
Today's brekkie was warmed buttermilk pancakes with an organic banana, pomegranate seeds, organic blueberries cooked and softened with a dessertspoon of water and some maple syrup, topped with Waitrose full fat Greek yogurt. ??

Brekkie

Melon. Every day. I'm rather boring with food.

Pantglas1 Sun 14-Jul-19 12:59:01

This morning I have orange juice with a sandwich.
Amazing

Muesli and a cup of vanilla rooibos through the week. Weekends are generally homemade pancakes because the 12 year old likes them or pastries.

Whitewavemark2 Wed 20-Nov-19 08:22:04

Our varies each day

Porridge with fruit
Eggs of all sort
Kippers - my favourite
Muesli
Granola
Very occasional sausage or bacon

Whitewavemark2 Wed 20-Nov-19 08:22:25

This morning it is scrambled eggs on toast

Oopsminty Wed 20-Nov-19 08:31:16
