I love good coffee, use either stove top thingy or cafetière, but I am so fed up with buying umpteen different brands all promising fabulous flavour, depth etc., but delivering nothing.
My all time favourite is Blue Mountain, but can’t get hold of that for love nor money, do you use one that you absolutely love, or even really like?.
My fave instant is Aldi Columbian but their ground stuff notso much, any recommendations would be gratefully accepted, thanks?

I d not drink instant coffee. Taylor's beans to grind are fine. For our 11am treat e buy Rich Hazelnut (beans) from the Dreamy Bean Coffee company online. They do ready ground also.

Thanks again to you all for your recommendations, so many now to try, about to get stuck into pot of Taylor’s Italian as we speak, also have been very interested to see why can’t get genuine Blue Mountain any more, well unless I go to Fortnums? that would be a fab Christmas present to go on my list. Have to say, with responses from so many of you lovely people, is why I love Gransnet ?

When our de’Longhi coffee machine broke we invested in Sage Blumunthal coffee machine which makes fabulous coffee. It’s a bit messier but have far more control than over the enclosed machines. I find Taylors offed beans to be pretty good and others I buy usually when they are on an offer.

Only Tesco Columbian instant. But I make it special by adding some dark brown Muscovado sugar, which is like toffee.
I drink a lot of coffee.
When we were in France I loved the tiny cups of very strong espresso, plus brown sugar. Gives you a real 'Zing'.

Grannybeck I have had a Dulce Gosto machine for years but now I have reusuable pods so can use any ground coffee and not sending plastic to landfill

Nespresso pods are fully recyclable - I get my pods delivered (free) to our corner shop (Collect+) and also send back a bag of used pods (free). The coffee grounds are composted and the aluminium is made into things like bicycles. “ Each capsule you recycle can come back in another everyday object such as drink cans, car parts, bicycles, Swiss army knives, vegetable peeler, ladders, window frames, watch cases etc.“
I don’t buy compatible pods as using them would cancel the warranty on the Nespresso machine and I didn’t want yet more plastic.

Coffee pods not recyclable. Should we not be thinking about the environment especially after all the latest news of plastic in our seas etc. Just a thought.
