Thinking ahead to tomorrow and you have inspired me to have something a bit more exciting (along with the Ryvita and Philly - wouldn't want to overdo the change )
Found some M&S falafel in the fridge. Bit of hummus and salad. Some pickles. And fruit. And maybe a creme egg
Home-made pea and ham soup---it was so thick I could have stuck the spoon upright. 2 pieces of crispy bread then an enormous orange cut into quarters. Cheese and crackers for tea.
I don't think I've posted before, so here goes. I made a roast chicken & pots & veg at the weekend, ate a portion & then divided the rest into little boxes & froze them. I take lunch into work & microwave them so I eat a warm lunch every day. I tend to have a very light supper of soup or egg on toast so my main meal is always lunch.
A piece of salmon, new potatoes and fennel today, with another large orange. These oranges are 65p each but there's a meal in them, so fleshy sweet and juicy. Usually around 3pm.
I never eat beyond 6pm, only a coffee or cup of tea.
Well, yesterday, it was nothing much. ☹️It was one of my 5-2 diet days. I don't seem to be shedding many pounds but maybe it helps save the planet!? I wish!
Home made soup, usually vegetable, but sometimes it’s mushroom with a hint of fresh thyme. During the winter it’s my standard lunch which I batch make and freeze.
It's so chilly here today that I think I am going to make soup when I get home - and that will solve the issue of what to have for the rest of the week. Current favourites - French onion (a faff to cut up all the onions though) and pea (super simple)
I stopped at the cafe on the way home today from my fitness class. I had a muffin with 2 poached eggs, salmon on top with some nice salad and a pot of hollandaise sauce on the side. Delicious! Also a latte.
We had an M & S butter chicken curry with rice (very tasty!) We were going to have it for tea, but we go to a pub quiz on a Tuesday and the suppers there have been quite generous of late. We'll just have a snack for tea instead.
