When DD did my shopping this week she bought rather a large bunch of bananas. I now have 5 left, all turning spotty. I love baking so look forward to making something tasty. I have Mary Berry's loaf recipe but fancy a change.
Recommendations please.

Into Brandy Snap Baskets add a small amount of warm caramel sauce. Then sliced bananas then a dollop of whipped cream. Finish with a drizzle of warm caramel sauce. We used to drive for miles to a restaurant that served these and when they closed I had to learn to make my own to appease the family.

Did you know that the stringy bits (usually 5) down the sides of bananas when you peel them, have more potassium than all the rest of the banana plus skin.

I'm going to try the muffin recipes plus... maybe the brandy banana caramel dessert...to give to friends when I get out of jail. It's too sweet for me.
I love the ideas on GN.

Today going to make a banana cobbler adapted from an easy peach recipe. Only used half quantities as just for me. I have also used this with frozen berries. It only takes moments to mix and is delicious!

Potassium or not, I still peeled the stringy bits off my breakfast banana.
It was too ripe for my taste and there are three more hanging there, so I'll have to investigate some of the recipes on this thread.
