As the title says I have a problem with Warburtons Bread, it’s the smell.
DH can’t smell anything, but to me it smells very strongly of chemicals, almost like nail polish remover.
We even did a blindfold taste/smell test with another brand of bread and the smell from the Warburtons loaf was awful, really strong, to me not him.
I’ve tried taking it out of its wrapper and decanting it into another bag, but it still reeks.
Problem is that he loves it, so I am using up the frozen loaves up out of the freezer, thankfully we only have one left, it’s taking ages to use them up as I’m not eating it. I’m longing for a proper sliced loaf that doesn’t smell.
It isn’t a recent thing , I’ve been able to smell the Warburtons loaf for years.
Is it just me??

Both OH and I have commented on this smell on at least two occasions over the last few weeks (and as I said higher up, I have noticed this smell in the past too).

From now on, I will make a note of which brand (s) are producing it, which I didn't do at the time - as I have been shopping online since lockdown and have had to take whatever bread has been available each time, we have had many different brands.

Has the Donald taken over British Baking?

He's taken over our Water Company.
