I can't face anything cooked for breakfast either, certainly not smoked fish.
We have been having bircher muesli aka overnight oats a lot lately, with yogurt and fruit. Can make it at tea time put in fridge and it's ready for the morning. Convenient and healthy, what's not to like?

I was once in a hotel, and watched a woman pour bitter lemon on her cornflakes shock.
I dont usually eat breakfast, but when I do, I will eat anything.

I don't like porridge much, but it does it's job it's sustains far longer than any cereal could, so I do force it down a couple of times a week. Other than that, in the last few years I've found eggs often turn my stomach, can only eat scrambled if they are flavoured with chives or smoked salmon Similarly I'm okay with frittatas or omelettes with lots of things chucked in so they don't taste of eggs. Weird I know shock Husband hates Marmite thinks it's positively food of the devil!

Ah now we loved smoked haddock with poached egg for breakfast but I save it for a Sunday treat and cook the fish in a clear fish bag from Lakeland so the house doesn't smell of fish for days. But Kippers NO NO NO- smelly!!!

I had Nasi Goreng for Breakfast in Malacca - delicious.

I have never been served anything inedible to me. I have stopped the cooking for eg fried eggs, poached eggs and smoled fish.

I would prefer curry because I do like it and I could eat it at every meal.

The Breakfast Buffet in hotels is always an eye opener, especially in Asian Countries I cannot get my head round curry, rice and noodles for breakfast!

Smoked haddock is a classic breakfast dish. I read this to DH as its one of his favourites if we're staying in a hotel.
The most unpleasant breakfast sight I ever saw was one time we were in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur. It obviously catered for an international clientele. As I worked my way through the buffet opening each of the heated compartments I never knew what to expect. The worst was opening the lid to a mass of spider crabs all legs and tentacles steaming away. I settled for a beautiful fruit selection myself but enjoyed watching others filling their plates with everything from waffles and syrup (yuk) to full English with iced doughnuts on the side!

Not watching one as we tend to have muesli, porridge or toast but when I left school I got a job in a bank and as part of the training programme we had to go on courses away from our home area and stay in somebody’s home, usually retired bank employees. On one of the courses two of us stayed with a lovely lady who one day served up a breakfast of smoked haddock with a poached egg on top. I had never, ever had fish for breakfast and the sight of the poached egg on top just made my stomach churn. I ate a lot of it out of politeness but afterwards I felt ill and went to the bathroom and brought it straight back up. At the time was just too much for my 16 year old stomach and although I like smoked haddock and I like poached egg I still don’t think I could manage them together at breakfast time.

Teetime, if it keeps him quiet and happy go with it.
But the avocado and w/sauce ? oh my lord.
I would feel physialy ill.

I have just watched DH toast a fruited teacake and spread one side with marmite and one with honey. I thought it was bad enough on his avocado squashed up with Worcester sauce days.
Anyone else watching a revolting breakfast?
