Tea - no longer tastes like tea!

Anyone else having the problem that their tea (normal black, builders' tea) no longer tastes like tea? Have tried all brands (waiting to receive some Tea Pigs to try) but nothing seems to actually taste like it used to, devoid of tea flavour. Have tried using filtered water and that doesn't make any difference. HELP!

I was given a gift of Cornish Tea, Smugglers Brew, when my family came home from holiday in Cornwall. Best tasting tea I’ve had in years!

I agree!! We first tasted this on holiday in Cornwall so I now put an order in every so often with them and I get it delivered in bulk (to the Midlands). A close 2nd choice is Morrisons The Best breakfast tea bags.

I was thinking our tea tasted a bit strange recently. I de-scaled the kettle and all's well again! To be fair it was pretty bad and took 4 sachets of Oust to clear the damn stuff!

I thought my tea tasted slightly like codliver oil the other day ? Next cup was ok . Not using a fish kettle !
