having heard about a certain young millionaire footballer commenting on starving children , free school meals etc, can i just say that the government does not have an endless pot , the economy is in a really really bad way as it is, my grandparents were very poor , and i mean poor but the children always got fed something, are children really starving these days ? having said that, maybe these young wealthy footballers could chip in to help if help is needed, they probably wouldnt even miss it,

It doesn`t matter where the money comes from or who donates it.
It`s where it`s going that matters.

Exactly Blondiescot. THAT is the very heart of the matter.

When I taught in the UK, I frequently would give my packed lunch away. I also at times kept a loaf of bread at school, to toast with some soup at lunchtime. There were children that were grateful for plain bread.

I think in Scotland the local authorities are feeding children during the holidays and have done so for a few years. I know it was mentioned by Scottish government at the start of the first lock down. It doesn't matter if it's a footballer or not, children shouldn't be going hungry. It's a pity it took a young man to set this up while the Westminster government drags their heels.

Exactly blondiescott.
Every primary schoolteacher, and many high schools make sure children get food.
