Sausage casserole in the slow cooker

A lovely slow cooker chicken curry with peppers and onions, should be good and spicy! I prepared it earlier so Mr. B just has to warm the rice in the microwave, then dish up into bowls. I washed up all my utensils too smile

A Mark's and Spencer, shortcrust steak and kidney pie, new potatoes, carrots, brocoli and gravy. Later I may have some honeycomb crunch ice-cream.

On holiday so ate out at lunch time ?.

Lobster salad and glass of Pinot.

Now sat in shade as too hot in sun!!

Not sure about this evenings food. Might sit in hot tub with a glass of red?.

It’s been a beautiful Autumn day here, we’ve been out in the garden. Mince and stovies started in the slow cooker before we got to work, so just needs dishing out when we’re ready. There’s some beetroot to go with it too. Using up the last of the small potatoes smile

For dinner tonight I will be cooking lamb chops, new potatoes, peas and carrots. For pudding I am making individual chocolate and raspberry puddings served with homemade clotted cream ice cream.

Last night spaghetti vongole at an Italian restaurant on Villiers Street; tonight will be odds & sods from the fridge!

We should be having lamb chops but ate too much at lunch time so putting them aside for tomorrow when it will be too hot to do a lot - forecast is 28c and both ourselves and dog find sitting around relaxing during the heat of the day the best thing.

Fish finger and salad sandwich. And strawberry trifle…..

Oooh trifle ?.

We’ve got one in the fridge, but after what I’ve eaten today I can’t justify any more deliciousness!

We ate at lunch time. Roast lamb, roast potatoes and parsnips, peas, carrots and cauliflower.
Home made rice pudding with jam.
Nothing more to eat today.

Pan-fried chicken and chips with assorted pickles. Then tea and a fairy cake. Typical light meal Mam suggested after a warm day. I'm trying to get my weight up a bit so I may have another cuppa and biscuits about 7.30 too. Or make some scones...?

Nortsat Sun 05-Sept-21 18:28:31

Going out for supper ... so something delicious that I haven’t cooked ?

I HAD to eat all of it cause I made it with milk jelly and used the wrong milk which was past it’s use by date. I’m sure it was still ok but it was a good excuse to have a huge helping!

Frying onion, garlic, snipped chorizo and then adding par-boiled potato cubes in olive oil. Just not quite yet. I’ve been topped up with a delicious glass of Baron de Ley....

Ate out at lunchtime. I had tuna steak in a spicy tomato sauce with fat chips, fresh tomato and broccoli. Very nice it was too.

Greek style barbecue at my sons house with trifle for dessert

Beswitched Mon 13-Sept-21 12:04:17

Sausage and pasta bake, and apple sponge made with apples from the garden.

Ladyleftfieldlover Tue 14-Sept-21 16:44:09

It’s OH’s turn to cook so he’s doing bangers, mash, peas and onion gravy. I made some friands today so may have one for pudding.
