Hi, you know those times when you just dont want took but fancy something really tasty?, I have been buying ready meals from Parsley Box ( you will have seen their ads on tv) for about 6 months now. They have a fantastic selection of meals that only take 2-3 minutes in the microwave You can store them in a cupboard. NO fridge or freezer required and they are fairly low calory. Even if you don't use them daily they are great to have in when you dont feel like cooking and they have a shelf life of 6 - 12 months! Anyway I just wanted to let you know that as I am rated as a gold customer they have told me that if I send you to the website below you can get 50% off your first order by quoting the code indicated. See details below and just check it out, you have nothing to lose.

WEBSITE: www.parsleybox.com

ENTER referral code: TF9XK53 in the voucher box at checkout to receive 50% off

If like me you dont have a lot of freezer space these are perfect. They really do keep for up to six months, sometimes longer, in just an ordinary store cupboard or pantry.

Roast beef, followed by bread and butter pudding, ?

Oldeman, I was considering Parsleybox too, but thought it may be too expensive and probably too much for just one person …

Chicken chow mein from food bank.

My parents love Parsley box meals. They are in their late 80s and its great to know there's always something in the cupboard in case they don't feel like cooking. Tonight I'm experimenting with turkey mince (2% fat) to make spag bog. We are on a cholesterol busting diet and are trying to cut out as much sat fat as we can!

I was going to do roast beef but we are now down to two for supper so I've put it in the freezer for next weekend when my younger daughter is coming. So tonight we are having pork medallions in a blue cheese sauce with potatoes, french beans and courgettes from the garden. No pud apart from fresh fruit.

We had Chicken Parmigiana a yellow sticker bargain from local supermarket. Had it with parmentier potatoes ( another yellow sticker find) , green beans and leeks. Fruit and yogurt after.

ladystardust, have you tried turkey and courgette burgers? Grate a couple of courgettes or amount equal to turkey mince. Grate and squeeze out water (there’s a lot), mix with turkey mince, add as much seasoning as you like. I use chilli flakes, salt and pepper and coriander. It’s very bland so can take a lot of seasoning. Bake in oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees fan. Really tasty.

Cheap but attractive looking individual beef and ale pies ( puff pastry) broccoli ? ? and maybe mashed ?. For pud banana ? custard. Feeling very lazy today.

I have made a Gransnet recipe but slightly adapted potato ham and onion pie. I used gammon added wholegrain mustard apple and garlic to it. Homemade trifle with blancmange and custard for dessert.

My daughter came for the weekend so I made her favourite: roast chicken, roast potatoes, homemade stuffing and bread sauce, peas, carrots and gravy. For pudding I made raspberry and strawberry crumble with lashings of lightly whipped cream. We had a nice bottle of pink fizz too.

Redhead56 Sun 08-Aug-21 19:27:13

We had a lemony garlicky chicken dish - I was sent the recipe by Ocado in an email although I've never ordered anything from Ocado.

It was very good, with runner beans and courgettes from the garden.

Jaxjacky Sun 08-Aug-21 21:10:45

We’ve had gammon shanks, new spuds from the allotment, carrots, cabbage and cauliflower.
