Does anyonene else enjoy a nibble once in bed for the night? I love a bit of chocolate. Green and Black's Almond tonight...is it just me. Teeth cleaning before settling to sleep of course

Sometimes I take a small glass of Baileys with me. That and a piece of chocolate. Blissful decadence.

Shinamae Thu 15-Jul-21 22:15:02

No, I never eat in bed..

MissAdventure Thu 15-Jul-21 22:16:29

I regularly have a banquet in mine.
Toast, crisps, sandwiches.

Kim19 Thu 15-Jul-21 22:16:59

Not me. It would invariably result in crumbs or spills and I simply couldn't deal with that at bedtime.

When I can’t sleep I am convinced a piece of nice bread with butter eaten slowly back in bed helps me settle and sleep. Does it? No idea but I enjoy it smile.

MissAdventure Thu 15-Jul-21 22:19:15

I just sleep on the crumbs. blush
I used to tell my ex he was like the princess and the pea, the way he complained about bits of food in the bed.

I once found half a cheese sandwich and some crisps which I had accidentally left in the bed after eating my lunch watching the telly reclining in bed as I was tired. We no longer have a tv in the bedroom so this has happened again. ?

My neighbour came home slightly the worse for wear, clutching a burger.
Fell into bed, and nodded off while eating it.
When she woke up, it was gone.

Her son told her it looked so nice he'd praised it out of her hand and eaten it himself.

MissAdventure Thu 15-Jul-21 22:24:51

Prised!

Sara1954 Thu 15-Jul-21 22:25:39

Never ever eat in bed, don’t ever have a cup of tea. The thought of crumbs in the bed, unbearable!

Oopsadaisy1 Thu 15-Jul-21 22:27:49

Never have and (hope) never will.

GagaJo Thu 15-Jul-21 22:31:48

Everything I enjoy most in life can be done in bed.

Hate crumbs. Plenty of non-shedding food available tho.

mokryna Thu 15-Jul-21 22:31:54

If I can’t sleep in the early hours I’ll cook a bowl of porridge in the microwave to settle things down. No I don’t feel guilty because they say it’s good food , if you get my meaning

misty34 Thu 15-Jul-21 22:34:41

When I was first married at weekends whoever woke first would make tea and toast or even bacon sarnies and bring them upstairs. No children at the time and it was bliss eating and listening to radio. No tv's in bedrooms then. Lovely way to start the weekend.

MissAdventure Thu 15-Jul-21 22:35:58

Oh I agree. smile

tanith Thu 15-Jul-21 22:38:20

Never eat in bed just a cuppa first thing.

B9exchange Thu 15-Jul-21 22:52:43

I'm on the 16:8 diet, no eating in bed for me. Doesn't apply on holiday of course...

Savvy Thu 15-Jul-21 22:57:35

Whats the 16:8 diet?

Lucca Thu 15-Jul-21 23:01:50

We used to say about somebody fanciable “I wouldn’t kick him out of bed for eating crisps”

I often have tea and toast in bed. Love it.

Ladyleftfieldlover Thu 15-Jul-21 23:02:23

Only if I’m unwell. Younger son bought me one of those trays with collapsible legs for my 60th. He said he heard me admire one when I was watching Poirott. It’s one of my best presents.

Mogsmaw Thu 15-Jul-21 23:02:48

No, nothing in bed except sleeping and listening to the radio. Oh, and a cup of tea black tea first thing. Never mind eating in bed, I’ve never understood why people have TVs in the bedroom.

MissAdventure Thu 15-Jul-21 23:04:04

I didn't slide into bad ways until my mid 40s.
I always got up and sat at the table to eat.
Then I went downhill.

MiniMoon Fri 16-Jul-21 00:14:25

Sorry, I just can't do it. Even when I'm ill, I have to get out of bed to have something to eat.

Calendargirl Fri 16-Jul-21 06:51:39

No, never eat or drink in bed.

Used to be an advert with a family in bed together, plus dog, eating a takeaway and dropping it on the duvet.

Yuk!
