Does anyonene else enjoy a nibble once in bed for the night? I love a bit of chocolate. Green and Black's Almond tonight...is it just me. Teeth cleaning before settling to sleep of course

grin

Even though I asked for fasting tips, I do eat in bed actually (usually watermelon this time of year but sometimes crisps) I'd love better self control as I know it would be better to have a longer break.

When we were first married back in the early 60's, hubbie was studying (evening course) for his professional qualificlations. BNack then were both in our early twenties and would sit up in bed, lat eat night, with me using his text book to 'quiz him', and both us eating cheese and biscuits. Great times, great memories - and YES he did pass those exams.

Nowdays, if I eat ANYTHING at all later than abot 7 pm, it will cause me a serious disgturbed night.

Can't remember crumbs causing any problems after light out!!!!

Years ago when I was having sleep problems, a very wise psychologist told me that I had to think of my bedroom as being for the "2 x S's only" - Sleep being one, and I'm sure you can guess the other !) Out went the TV. Out went any eating. Occasionally I have a cuppa in the morning brought to me but only if I'm not well enough to get up - otherwise it's downstairs for that. Sometimes, I get undressed and ready for bed, and then watch something soothing downstairs with a snack, before heading up to bed. But that's it. Works for me.

Personally I think eating in bed is disgusting, all those crumbs & bits all in the sheets ? I'm one of those people that can feel the smallest crumb imaginable which would stop me from sleeping. I would have to get out of bed & clear the sheet until every speck of dust was gone.

Breakfast in bed always - even though I have to get up, make it, and take it back - and a biscuit last thing far too often

Can’t eat without a napkin, so I occasionally have a chocolate biscuit or similar and hold the napkin so NO crumbs escape.
My bedroom isn’t upstairs so it’s quite convenient to take a hot drink and snack to bed.
