Asda offer free soup , roll and unlimited tea and coffee for over 60s

In november and December you can have a free soup, roll and a drink in most stores. This is a good offer from them I think you could meet your friends and spend a couple of hours warm and fed. Bit sad when you think this is back to soup kitchens really but generous all the same.

MissAdventure - I think they all have "extras" but Asda does talk theirs up a lot!
I've read quite a lot now about comparisons and some offer 20% off on shopping as well as paying more in the first place.
What Asda does is a "bonus" which amounted to £400-and-something last year.
(£8 to £9 a week if spread over the year).

Here's a recent article about the current wages comparing the supermarkets. It doesn't go into detail about any "extras".

For the sake of an offer on soup and bread, I can't be bothered to look into it all.
Have soup, don't have it.
