I hope I am committing a sin by starting a new thread but the other one is full and I enjoy it and the photos smile

I popped to the cheap farm shop on the way home from work to buy dog food and vegetables so I have made a sausage casserole with jacket potatoes. I normally put the potatoes in the casserole (I know wink ) but there was no room as I bought a rather nice leek grin it smells delicious smile

A winter's day calls for winter food. Slow cooked beef casserole, mashed potatoes, carrots and cabbage.

Last night: Salmon, sweetcorn and pea risotto.

Tonight: I made a quiche. The filling was mushroom, cheese and onion with cherry tomatoes on top. We had it with jacket sweet potato and sweetcorn.

When I went to get my husband a newspaper I noticed they had ripe peaches reduced with a yellow sticker. I wouldn't normally buy these out of season but they were truly ripe so I gave in and we had them with cream. 😋

Monday is usually our Pasta Day as we normally have meetings or work from home and there is little time to prepare.

Today we had eaten Pasta (Tortellini filled with Cheese - Brand Rana from Italy) With Pesto Genovese, Grated Pecorino, fresh basil leaves, pine nuts, salt and freshly ground blk. pepper, Extra virgin olive oil and you can use a mortar and pestle (wood the best) or a blender or a food processor.

Bubble and squeak with pickles and yesterday's roast pork - sophisticated or what?

Callistemon21 Mon 15-Jan-24 15:36:59

Nothing much left from yesterday so I might cook a chicken which is in the fridge if I can be bothered
But with what? Not roast again.

Callistemon21 Mon 15-Jan-24 15:37:33

Why not roast the chicken and have it with garlic bread and some sort of salad?

Salti Mon 15-Jan-24 16:19:24

In Spain, our main meal is Lunch usually served between 13.30 and 14.30. Which could equivalent to dinner in many countries.

At 20.30 / 21.00 we go to our corner bar and share a tapa and have a glass of wine which is very common in Spain.

So enjoy your dinner ..

It is 19.15 !!
