Saturday: Mr R cooks the evening meal, our eldest daughter comes to dinner and it's usually a bit better on the tv. (Though at the moment there aren't any good programmes!)

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A GP telephonist. I was fascinated when I saw an old fashioned “switch board” and how it connected people to each other to talk.

Do you have artistic talent for drawing?

I can't draw for toffee, but I did win a Blue Peter drawing competition when about 6yrs old.

Do you enjoy gardening?

I wish. I can design cross-stitch pictures, but I look with envy at some people’s drawing skills.

Have you ever secretly abstracted a recipe from a magazine at the dentist or hairdressers?

Not a recipe, but I took a photo with my mobile of a beautiful interior design in a magazine at the dentist as I thought, "that's what I'm after" , does that count?

What is your favourite power ballad?

I'd have to opt for All By Myself - Eric Carmen especially if sang into a hairbrush!

Bath or shower?

Im very much a shower person. Uses less water and time and more refreshing.

What is your most hated routine job?

Bath

What item would you save from a fire if you had to choose (excluding photos which are already saved)

Ah I akways take too long...

Oh - I thought it was first three, three letter words!

Plush lined leggings in winter, white tops in summer.

Do you hand wash your car?

I don't have one, but if I did, I wouldn't!

I'm just getting back into The Archers after a lull of over ten years!

The only one I watch now is Emmerdale


Do you believe are are aliens watching us or even among us?

I have often wondered this myself. I am willing to believe that they have visited us in the past. Maybe I just read too much science fiction.

What kinds of clothes do you like to wear for relaxing in when no visitors are expected?

Shirt, jumper, jeans ànd slippers.

Do you still read books or only online script/material?

I have a large collection of actual paper books (700+), I have never downloaded a novel in my life. I like the feel and smell of a real book, especially an old one.

What was the last thing you purchased, either online or in a shop?

M&S Southern fried chicken. For DH's birthday tea today.

Do you see words as colours? I always see Saturday as brown e.g.

Favourite fictional detective?

I'm torn between Poirot and Montalbano. Think it's got to be Montalbano.

Do you have favourite bath time music? ( the Seekers for me)

I'm currently listening to a sort of biography of Poirot. It's very good.
I don't really listen to music (I know! I'm such a heathen!)
I do like baths though...

What was the last play that you saw at a theatre?
Mine was the most wonderful performance of A Christmas Carol, Christmas Eve 2019.
