Only with my children, and once I took my work boss. Not needed to, thankfully, for me.

Are you finding the birds are waking you up stupidly early this month?

No, my bladder wakes me up at 6 each morning and most of the time it's very reliable. Sadly I hardly ever hear birdsong as I don't wear my hearing aids to bed and I'm in an urban area - I'm more likely to hear traffic.

What colour is your sofa, or would you prefer to call it a settee?

Sandy/beige colour with large cushions with check design. The design seems fashionable at the mo, but I’m going to turn them round when I get fed up with the check.

Would you say you take after your father or mother?

My father I think in character. My mother in looks..

Have you done anything really special during the pandemic?

No, just carried on as normal. It hasnt affected me that much as Im in my 70s.

Do you ever cook meals from scratch? I used to do a lot of cooking when I was younger but I can no longer be bothered so its the micro wave for me.

I’m a ping meal myself (with a healthy salad or veg) as now widowed and alone, can’t be a***d cooking unless family come to stay.

Won I don,t. Never very keen on fake anything although I do have silk flowers in winter.

I sleep oddly. Sometimes I'm awake for hours, usually before 12 and 1.
When I worked I'd be awake all hours fretting about work stuff.

Sadly the last one I wrote was to a Uni friend who has just lost his wife. They didn’t do email, so letters have been the norm.

Do you ever suffer from plant envy? I’m just looking at my neighbour’s borders and they look so much better than mine.

No envy as one side there is a high wall so can't see the garden and at the end of a terrace so no garden other side ........... and although we do very little to our garden it is quite pretty!

Yes. Secrets have been a big part of my life. I myself was a secret.

All the time - it goes with the territory because I deal in antiques. But I do think it was a much simpler and nicer world although we did not have so many comforts. None of this BLM and woke nonsense.

Have you ever had a dispute with a neighbour? Mine are vile. I have recently sent them a Cease and Desist ordering them not to call at my home and threatening them with legal action.

Touch wood, I've never had a dispute with a neighbour - we may have 'chuntered' to ourselves about something or other but nothing major.

I used to henna my hair when I was younger but have never had it professionally done.

I used to have acrylic nails before lockdown, partly as I have a terrible picking habit and end up with plasters round my fingers. The acrylic nails meant I couldn’t pick. My daughter has inherited the bad habit from me and her fingers can end up in a terrible state. I told her she should have acrylic nails on the NHS! I have my own nails now and am trying to leave my fingers alone…
