Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

hollysteers Thu 01-Jul-21 10:06:55

Friday when I go to my art group, and days when I have arranged a day trip on a coach. Back on now thankfully.

If you had to choose between blindness or deafness, which would you choose?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 01-Jul-21 12:04:02

That's tricky, if I was deaf I could at least get about and retain my independence but never hearing a piece of music again, laughter or conversation would be hard, but I really couldn't bear to be blind as I love being creative with sewing or knitting etc etc and to not read or watch telly would leave an enormous gap.

Are you good with your hands, ie can you juggle or shuffle a pack of cards with skill?

DanniRae Thu 01-Jul-21 12:29:43

No but I can pick up a chocolate - eat it - and then pick up another one very, very fast!!

Do you like yourself?
I do most of the time - but when I asked this question to friends and family most said "NO" shock

biglouis Thu 01-Jul-21 12:57:37

I dont always "like" myself because I can be very harsh and unforgiving. I do respect myself and what Ive achieved which I think is more important.

Have you ever skived off in work?

I used to work in a university (long before smart phones) and you were not allowed to have your phone on in the library. So no one could reach you if you said you were going there. I used to go and look around the shops or just go home early. However I always made up the work in my own time to meet deadlines. So more re-organizing the schedule to suit myself rather than skiving.

crazyH Thu 01-Jul-21 15:37:03

No, never…..

Do you like the new bronze statue of Diana, Princess of Wales ?

Savvy Thu 01-Jul-21 15:57:22

No, I think it makes her look short and dumpy.

What are you doing this weekend?

BBbevan Thu 01-Jul-21 16:33:44

Not terribly. It’s a bit sentimental for me.

Did you smoke, and if you did have you given it up?

hollysteers Thu 01-Jul-21 17:53:01

Never smoked as didn’t have the patience (thankfully) to give it a go. If it had worked straight away, like an alcoholic drink, it might be a different matter…

If you had to choose a nationality for your (imaginary?) next husband, which would you choose?

biglouis Fri 02-Jul-21 00:45:04

Im divorced and would never marry again! If I did I would prefer an American. I lived in the USA for a year and find American men more attractive than Brits.

If you could chose any car regardless of price what would it be?

I dont drive but if I won the euro lottery my choice would be a chauffeur driven rolls.

biglouis Fri 02-Jul-21 00:45:25

chose = choose

nanna8 Fri 02-Jul-21 01:04:14

What question would you ask if you didn’t have a question? ?

BBbevan Fri 02-Jul-21 06:19:30

I’d ask ‘What question shall I ask you’?

So?

FannyCornforth Fri 02-Jul-21 06:23:22

I'm confused! confused
It's too early for this!

NotAGran55 Fri 02-Jul-21 06:35:06

I love my car so would just buy a newer version. A black John Cooper Works Mini . I would sell the old one and give the money to the local food bank.

Do you eat fish on Fridays ?

Billybob4491 Fri 02-Jul-21 07:39:16

Yes always eat fish on Fridays.

Are you doing anything exciting this weekend?

FannyCornforth Fri 02-Jul-21 08:54:00

No

What is your favourite Disney film?

Mollygo Fri 02-Jul-21 11:02:17

Little Mermaid (Bambi was too sad).

Where do you keep your vacuum cleaner(s)?

biglouis Fri 02-Jul-21 11:49:23

In a cupboard under the stairs.

If you have to be reborn as an animal which one would it be?

I would return as a cat. They have such a superior and entitled attitude and owners indulge them.

Mollygo Fri 02-Jul-21 14:02:33

biglouis I’ll leave your question for the next poster as my answer would be same as yours.

If you have to be reborn as an animal, which one would it be?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 02-Jul-21 15:49:18

I'm not sure that I'd want to be an animal but I'd choose to be a cat too. I'd laze about and look quizzically at the human race and hope to be indulged.

Do you still use a fountain pen for special letters?

ninathenana Fri 02-Jul-21 17:46:37

No, I can't remember the last time I wrote a letter. I do like a nice pen though rather than a plastic biro.

If you drive, do you enjoy it ?

grandMattie Fri 02-Jul-21 17:55:05

I do drive and hate it. My eyesight is adequate but it makes me very tired. Never more than about 30 minutes if I can.

Can you play a musical instrument?

hollysteers Fri 02-Jul-21 22:04:17

A little piano, but singing is my main thing.

Would you say your wardrobe consists mainly of neutrals or patterns/florals?

henetha Sat 03-Jul-21 10:33:54

More patterns and florals. And bright colours.

Do you own a suit? Remember when trouser suits were popular?

Juliet27 Sat 03-Jul-21 11:09:36

Plenty of trousers but not a suit. I’m enjoying wearing long flowing skirts this summer.

Have you ever ridden on a motorbike or scooter?
