I dont really mind as I seldom go out except by car or taxi!

What was your favorite toy as a very young child (say upto 5 years). I had a huge fluffy ball which my grandma had made.

We had to share a lot of toys as we were rather hard up but I recall a small knitted dolly which was falling to bits. I wonder that no-one repaired it as both Mum and Grandma were good at sewing and knitting.

Did you have a tricycle? And did you go flying over the handlebars? I did.

I did have a tricycle but I never fell off it.

Did you have an imaginary companion as a child?

I had one called Mr Tibbs. My mother was not good at "lets pretend" games so I played alone most of the time.

No, I had two younger sisters and being part of the after war bulge in inner city, piles of kids around, so no need for imaginary friends.

Would you say you are a trousers or skirt/dress person?

Definitely a trouser person, though I admit to having a few flowing dresses.

Have you got favourite book/ books that you like to reread?

I like the "Dune" sf series by Frank Herbert. I am a big SF and fantasy fan.

Are you going to discard your mask after the 19th? Ive only worn one once but I dont go out that often.

What is your favourite music genre?

Dificult to say as I like nearly all genres. But probably rock like Queen, Bon Jovi, Guns'n Roses, etc.. And Coldplay now.

How do you mainly listen to music? CD's, streaming, old Vinyl's, casette tapes, radio, ??

What is your favourite cheese?

Wensleydale is my favourite.

How far away is your furthest relative?

Just over 3500 miles, I'm on east coast of England, they're on west coast of America.

Do you iron your bedding?

No

Skirts or Trousers?

I mostly wear baggy comfy kaftans so deffo a skirts person. I have a couple of smart business outfits with trousers.

Did you learn to swim as a kid?

Yes, and it was a bloody nightmare.
I'm still scared of swimming

When was the last time that you cried?

I think it was a few months ago when Ken Bruce played Stairway to Heaven -it wasn't announced in advance but those opening bars are unmistakable. It was one of my dear late husband's favourite songs and it was played at his funeral. I always shed a few tears when it's played, put the volume up and have a good wallow.

OTOH when did you have a really big belly laugh?

I must admit, I do laugh quite a bit, usually at every day stuff.
Yesterday I listened to Dead Ringers and that really made me laugh.

What are your TV sport plans for today?

Definitely watching the men's Wimbledon final as I love tennis.
And will keep an eye on the football match this evening, I might even watch the whole thing. I don't like football but do show an interest when England are doing well.

Can you dance properly? Dances like waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, etc.

I learned ballroom dancing in school but have not done that for years.

Did you watch the footie? Im not really interested but I watched the last 10 minutes.

Yes, disappointing in the end, but we did well.

Yes, at the moment it’s that Billy Fury ‘ Satin and Lace’. Advertising a Museum programme on the BBC

Are you looking forward to the warm weather that has been forecast ?

No! I hate hot weather. I'm having hot flushes too, so it's not great for me. I always feel a right misery guts when everyone else is going on about how lovely it all is

Rain at night (10pm-5am) sun and temperatures no higher than 22° and a light breeze during the day. A heavy downpour occasionally isn’t too bad.

What about anyone else’s ideal weather?

I do love it when its very cold and frosty or even snowy and i dont have to go out. Tucked up indoors with the heating on, lamps lit early, a good book , or a tv or radio prog and knitting. Heaven!!!

are you happy with you current lifestyle?

Not particularly. Never thought I'd have such a lonely old age.
But I cope.

Would you like to travel to the Arctic? To see the polar bears, northern lights etc.?

Went there to Tromso and Alta just before the first lockdown. And saw the Northern Lights.
