Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

hollysteers Sat 14-Aug-21 00:08:23

No.

Would you call yourself a foodie?

biglouis Sat 14-Aug-21 02:35:03

No, fine dining is wasted on me.

Have you ever been to a wine tasting?

I did once on holiday but found it a bit of a bore. Cant be bothered with food and wine snobbery.

DanniRae Sat 14-Aug-21 07:27:54

No because I don't 'get' wine. I can only drink it with lemonade!

When someone says "Now what are you going to drink?" what do you ask for?

Mollygo Sat 14-Aug-21 08:27:44

Merlot or grapefruit juice or tomato juice. If it’s cold I like tea, or occasionally a cappuccino.

If you could only have one small treat to eat, a month, what would it be?

Mine is a custard tart

henetha Sat 14-Aug-21 10:39:57

A bar of milk chocolate. I only eat plain chocolate, and very little of that, due to trying to reduce my sugar intake.

Do you prefer spray deodorants to roll-on ones? Any favourites?

FannyCornforth Sat 14-Aug-21 10:41:00

Sweet - an M&S custard choux bun
Savoury - a big bag of salt and vinegar chip sticks, with a large piece of Camembert on the side!

Mine in eggs. I haven’t even tried to eat a fried egg.

It’s getting darker earlier and the lights go on around 21:30. What time do you need to put the lights on the evening where you live.

biglouis Sun 15-Aug-21 00:25:17

About 9 pm. However I put task lighting on much earlier.

Do you ever watch TV "chat" shows?

I find them boring. I much prefer news programs or documentaries.

No, I find talking heads a bore.
To answer henetha’s earlier question re deodorants, I don’t mind spray or roll on. My son gives me any he gets as Xmas presents! I’m not fussy..,

Do you wear a roll on type girdle or Spanx? (I wear a lightweight roll on to support my bad back as well as streamlining the tummy) My mother said she had to have one as it kept her together.

nanna8 Sun 15-Aug-21 01:55:21

Sometimes if I want to look slimmer! Usually if we are going out with friends.

Mollygo Sun 15-Aug-21 04:08:57

If a room in your home needed painting, would you do it yourself, or hire a painter?

MerylStreep Sun 15-Aug-21 16:05:20

I’ve always done all the painting, still do. A professional wouldn’t give it the detail I do.

biglouis Sun 15-Aug-21 16:23:24

In the days when I did home decorating - eggshell.

Have you ever wallpapered a room yourself?

Sadly I no longer have the balance to stand on ladders.

FannyCornforth Sun 15-Aug-21 16:46:25

Good lord no, I’d get in a right muddle. I’m far too clumsy, and I can’t do ladders either
