Welcome to the Fourth Thread, Questioners and Answerers!

Are you feeling Autumnal?

AGAA4 Fri 01-Oct-21 16:08:54

I tend to potter and not do very much but I don't feel guilty. I have been very busy for many years so feel entitled to my pottering now.

Do you do your own decorating?

Mollygo Fri 01-Oct-21 16:27:44

Some, but the pleasure of having the hall and stairs done was well worth the cost. She was young, efficient and didn’t cost too much.

Mollygo Fri 01-Oct-21 18:53:32

Which area of your house, indoor or out do you wish someone else would do for you?

hollysteers Fri 01-Oct-21 21:31:18

Declutter the basement. I have inherited lots of stuff from my husband’s family, dating back to Victorian times?

Do you plan to see the new James Bond film?

crazyH Fri 01-Oct-21 23:35:15

Yes ofcourse... going on Wednesday with 2 of my friends - I think I've seen most James Bond films.

Do you have a TV in your bedroom? I read today that watching TV at bedtime actually sends you to sleep. Your opinion please ....

Mollygo Fri 01-Oct-21 23:43:29

I refuse to accept its cold enough for the heating yet. How long can you hold out?

Shinamae Fri 01-Oct-21 23:44:05

To answer your question - pyjamas

Question: Shower .......morning or night ?

BBbevan Sat 02-Oct-21 04:28:27

Morning mostly. But in hot weather both.

Do you try to limit plastic in the bathroom. E.g. soap bars not shower gel ?

FannyCornforth Sat 02-Oct-21 04:55:45

Not really, I’m a bit rubbish about plastics.
‘Could do better’, I’m afraid.

What’s in your handbag?

grandMattie Sat 02-Oct-21 05:34:57

Goodness! Tissues, lipstick, various medications, a comb, chewing gum, various cards including bus pass and debit card, rescue remedy, masks, moisturiser, hand gel…

Did you ever answer back to parents/teachers?

FannyCornforth Sat 02-Oct-21 05:40:30

Teachers- yes! I was a bit of a nightmare for it. I worked hard, and was well behaved and well mannered, but was very outspoken

Mom - very, very rarely! I wouldn’t dare!
Dad - not really, he’s incredibly laid back, I can’t remember him ever laying the law down or giving me reason to answer back

What is the most expensive item of clothing that you’ve bought?
Was it worth it?

DanniRae Sat 02-Oct-21 08:13:16

A few years ago I was out shopping with a friend and, on the spur of the moment, decided to buy a really smart black trouser suit. I had come in to a bit of money and decided to spend £125 of it on a treat for myself. I wore it lots of times and always felt very smart and slim!! I still have it because I can't face getting rid of it but, unfortunately, it no longer fits me sad (But maybe one day..........??)

Do you keep favourite clothes hoping that, maybe, one day they will fit again?

nanna8 Sat 02-Oct-21 08:16:56

Yes - daft really and for the last 2 years we have been in constant lockdowns so not wearing anything nice.

Do you bake cakes and if so, what is your favourite ?

Aldom Sat 02-Oct-21 09:11:50

I don't bake now but I used to do a lot of baking. Coffee cake was a favourite. Hot cross buns at Easter.
Are you doing anything special /interesting today?

crazyH Sat 02-Oct-21 09:21:06

Having 3 year old grandson for a few hours this morning. It’s so wet outside so can’t do much. Hoping to go to the Vigil this evening. Haven’t been to Mass for months ……I was brought up Catholic. I wouldn’t call myself a practising Catholic, but I try to attend Sunday Mass if I can.

What about you ? Do you go regularly to Church or to any place of worship?

biglouis Sat 02-Oct-21 11:59:47

I do not belong to any formal religion although I do believe in a supreme being.

Have you ever been to an "away" hen night?

Ive only ever been to the "evening out" type and would hate to go away with a crowd of randoms.

AGAA4 Sat 02-Oct-21 14:29:12

I went to Dublin for my Ds hen night but only stayed for the meal as my younger daughter was only 14 at the time.
Do you go out walking in heavy rain?

hollysteers Sat 02-Oct-21 14:30:29

No and when I see the hen night parties out in town, I’m glad not to. I didn’t even enjoy the one evening out hen nights either. I like mixed sex events.

Have you got Netflix, if so what do you think?
(I have, but record so many films on Talking Pictures etc. I only watch for the odd thing)

crazyH Sat 02-Oct-21 15:25:33

Yes, daughter's subscription, but frankly I very rarely watch it. So many channels available !!!!

How often do you check your Bank and Credit Card statements ( I check online, at least once a fortnight)

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sat 02-Oct-21 15:56:13

I check my statements when they arrive in the post each month and also get a mini statement from the hole in the wall machine in between times if I want to look more closely at the fine details.

What's the most unusual surname you've encountered?

Mollygo Sat 02-Oct-21 16:52:48

Mycock.
Just unfortunate.
Most unpronounceable?
Olanewaju- I was told it was pronounced

henetha Sun 03-Oct-21 11:10:33

Or any choir.

BBbevan Sun 03-Oct-21 12:25:48
