I have 1 sister. Was an only child until age 7 and would prefer to have remained so. My sister was the "golden child" and I always felt second best.

Same, I have prints all the way up the staircase. Nice if they were originals, but sadly not. I’ve got Millais ‘Ophelia’ in the upstairs loo.

No - 3 nights for a small private op when I was in my 20s.

Have you been on any sort of Committee? I am at present on the 50+ Community Group and am thinking of resigning due to the bickering and the ‘clickiness’

Years ago, at my children's primary school I was on the PTA.
I loathed every aspect of it, the bitchiness, the in-fighting. But we did manage to raise enough funds to have a swimming pool built in the playground. (which was eventually filled in to make room for temporary classrooms).
I have never been on a committee since.

I just found a beautiful late flowering clematis blooming in the garden. Have you got any late flowering plants?

Unfortunately, we have just a tiny bit out back, it fits a couple of chairs in summer. But it's more like a thru footpath that was fenced off to create 'space' for our houses. Straight onto a passageway road at the front.
So no, no plants, except overhanging trees.

It never really feels like Christmas to me unless we get snow on Christmas Eve/Day.

Do you think it might snow around Christmas, in England, this year?

We don't seem to get snow very often around Christmas. January and February seem to be the snowy months here in Wales.

If you could have the ideal present for you, what would it be?

All my family around me would be my perfect present.

Are your parents still alive?

My dad was born in 1914 and my mum in 1917 so no my parents aren't still alive
I sincerely wish that they were. When I look at my adorable grandchildren - 2 and a half and 7 months - I wish with all my heart that they - and Mr R's parents - were around to see them.

I think, and hope, that maybe they are able to see them somehow?? Do you agree?

Who knows, life is such a mystery. Even if they can’t actually see them, they live on in them, as you do.

What is your best stress buster?

Playing with my nephews cat! I dont have any pets myself but I love playing with him as cats can be so funny!

Do you ever have a nap in the day?

I dont sleep much at night so I usually go for a nap around 4pm

No not unless I am ill. I don’t sleep well,either but usually manage 5 hours .

Did you enjoy reading to your children, grand children?
It was one of my favourite parts of teaching in primary - I’d read aloud at the drop of a hat!

My favourite book as a child was The Silver Sword. I too liked reading aloud both at school and to my children. My infant class though would often ask for an'M your head's story where I just told the tale and they made their own images in their heads.

Do you have a bed time drink?

I didn’t know that you were a teacher Bbb! I don’t know how I’ve managed to miss that

Not really. I drink a lot of fizzy water during the day (and night) and tea in the early hours (as I am doing now, from my special EmmaBridgewater Crown Jewels mug).

Do you have a ‘special’ mug?

Not really a special mug, although I do like my mug that changes colour when filled with hot liquid, then fades back to the original as it cools down.

My windows were all misted up this morning and I thought my double glazing had failed, but it was all condensation on the outside.
Do you ever find that?

Yes Fanny Infants mostly. Got to it by a circuitous route via art school and an English / art history degree.

We have a large conservatory on the back of the house which is all Misty today. That will go when the sun edges around.

Do you buy the Sunday papers ?

Bbb my degree is in art history, and my Masters in English / History of Art! We’ve got a very similar back ground!

Yes, we have the Sunday Times and The Mail on Sunday delivered. We have papers every day, DH loves them.

Do you wear hats?

Not if I can help it. Only if the temperature is below zero.
I much prefer jackets with hoods.

Did you ever bite your nails? If so when did you stop, and how?

I don’t bite my nails, but I pick at the skin at the side of my thumbs. Often end up with a plaster on one, or two. A nervous habit my daughter has inherited. Although I wouldn’t usually bother, before lockdown I had acrylic nails, which stopped it completely.

Do you prefer to work alone or with others?

Definitely, definitely alone.
Perhaps teaching wasn’t for me!
I should definitely have made different decisions career wise.
I was always adamant that I wanted to wfh, but it wasn’t seen as the done thing. I should have been a self employed something or other.

If you had to set up your own little business, what would you fancy doing?

Holly I do that too with my nails. That weird little bit of skin / nail down the side. I’ve been on antibiotics several times due to infections there.
