That could be me! I say hello to everyone I meet but we are a friendly lot here.

Do you have a lot of friends?

Not many really close friends, I never did have that many. Recently though I’ve made a few new ones-the ‘come for a coffee’ or ‘shall we go and see a film’ sort.

How do you kill flies? Or do you let them out of the window instead?

Yes, I guide them out of the window. I’m quite good at it, a fly whisperer

Are you ‘good with’ animals and / or children?

Not particularly good with animals, although Wiggy and I get on just fine. But I hugely liked looking after my children and then my grandchildren, and they are all still on speaking terms with me, so I must be ok at it.

Did you ever go back to full or part time education, long after you finished school? Evening classes, or even taking a degree or similar?

I did a District Nursing degree at 48 years old, badly timed because it was the same time as my DCs did O and A levels and we only had one computer.

Have you ever wished you pursued a completely different career?

I think I found the right career for me and enjoyed my work.

Would you like a complete makeover of your house or yourself?

I'd like a makeover of my little house and garden - the garden to be better landscaped, attic conversion and a conservatory if you please. Oh, and decorated throughout - not asking for much am I?

If there is one piece of advice you'd give what would it be?

Try not to worry, be happy.

(Not for me)

No - a good old steak and chips for me ((with pepper sauce)

Do you get calls/emails that try to scam you?

Oh yes don’t we all. Just delete emails without opening and put the phone down on calls.

Did you go to jazz clubs when you were young ?

A couple of times with jazz mad friend, but it wasn’t for me.
I do like jazz as background music however.

Yes, I’m still feeling rough after 3 days ?

No Im due within about 2 weeks.

Have you been to any large events since the restrictions lifted?

I was never fond of crowds even before covid and am less fond now.

Like you biglouis I have never liked crowds so haven’t been to anything large at all.

Do you have a typical Sunday?

I am going out for lunch today but that is not usual for me.

How many pairs of shoes do you have?

About ten. If I was able, I would have dozens of them. I like shoes.

Are you going to a Remembrance gathering today? Church, or war memorial?

No. I don’t go anywhere!

Have you been wearing a poppy? Even though ‘I don’t go anywhere’ I still wore my poppy bracelet and I have a knitted poppy on my mantle piece

Not a stately home as such but Llancaiach Fawr in S Wales.

Do you ever watch ‘Walter Presents’ on Channel 4 ?

Not anymore. I watched an interesting French crime series. The last episode never appeared on so I didn't discover 'who dun it'. Won't get fooled again, in the name of the the song by The Who.

How to crochet.

Do you still have photographs printed ?

I do and I put them in albums.

Yes. I like it better now we can view our efforts and only print the ones we want.

When I was broke at Uni I used to eat/drink a lot of Ready-Brek made with water. If that happened to you, what was your meal when the money had run out?

Own brand Super Noodles.

Can you recite a poem off by heart? (Isn’t that an odd phrase?)
