I'm supposed to be having my hair coloured but we are waiting on a PCR for a coughing hot teenager confined to his bedroom, so I cancelled . Instead I have had a sneaky 'rest of the left over Baileys'

Just come in from cutting down some of the ornamental grasses. Sun has gone in and got cold.

Admiring a warm looking scarf a dig walker is wearing, as I freeze waiting for the car heater to warm up.

Just in from a little shrub pruning. Successful but cold. Ready for a welcome cuppa and a listen to Any Questions etc.

Sitting browsing GN and thinking about whether to have my main meal now or just a salad.

Talking on the phone to my sister in Scotland, so typing with one hand,

Eating a banana and doing the Guardian Codeword.

Sitting in my dressing gown watching the sun appearing and sparkling on the frost.

Lying in bed, listening to the bin collectors telling my dog what the noise is and there is no need to growl.

Lying in bed trying to pull myself together and start getting ready for work.

Thinking, if I wasn't so lazy, I'd be in the kitchen making a drink.

Hoping it isn’t too late for the Postman to arrive and collect the packages that have to go today.

Laying in bed listening to him indoors snoring (thundering, poor neighbours).
I swear I hear him 'snore-speak' things now and then. Anybody else get that from partners?

Sitting here, looking around the room I can see that it needs vacuuming.

Btw it is black coffee so no calories were eaten in the telling of the tale.

Changing bedlinen and the washing machine is whirring.

Still sitting in bed, drinking second cuppa and trying to calculate how long it will take me to reach the weight I was before covid forced my comfort eating.
At two pounds a week if I try really hard it will be early May.

Just made a cauldron of chicken soup, took the dog to the door to go out and she backed away and ran into the sitting room and is curled up on ‘her’ chair asleep.
Now if we lived near a beach I would be out there, but fields, rolling hills? No thanks, I’m surrounded by the stuff.

Been lazing in my dressing gown but going for a shower now then off to meet family for lunch.

No it's lovely.Should get your wellies on get out in the countryside,rolling hills,free air ,mud and rain

Just sat having coffee after morning tidy, breakfast etc.

A really grotty day out there so will spend the day reading, and generally relaxing.
