Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

nanna8 Fri 27-May-22 09:39:21

It varied but mostly my Dad. He outlived Mum so I have more recent memories of him.

Do you like dressing up for an evening out ? I do, especially since dragging around in trackie dacks during Covid.

AGAA4 Fri 27-May-22 11:34:06

Yes I do like to look more dressed up. I remember the days when I wore a long evening gown but now it's much less formal.

Do you enjoy occasions like the Jubilee?

ginny Fri 27-May-22 14:34:05

I will be joining in a neighbourhood get together . More for a chance to catch up with people I don’t see that often than because of the jubilee.

I am stuck in a traffic jam. What is the longest jam you have been in ?

hollysteers Fri 27-May-22 21:33:58

Can’t remember the exact length of time, but it was on the motorway from the northwest to Cornwall in a coach on a bank holiday…

You have to name your dog the last thing you ate, what is it? (Crumpet)

henetha Fri 27-May-22 23:41:47

Crisps. Cheese and onion ?.

I went on a bus today for the first time since Covid. Have you?

crazyH Fri 27-May-22 23:56:43

No. Shame on me - despite having a Bus Pass, I have not used a bus in a long time. I am lazy, and find it so much easier to jump into the car and drive to wherever.

Do you like foreign cuisine? If so, what is your favourite?

biglouis Sat 28-May-22 08:17:46

My favorite is Chinese. I also like Thai, Middle Eastern and Jamaican.

When did you last visit a "proper" restaurant as opposed to fast food?

I havnt been since before covid.

hollysteers Sat 28-May-22 09:04:43

Last week, Italian and had risotto.

If you were buying a second home, where would it be?

MrsKen33 Sat 28-May-22 14:54:21

North Wales. We had thought to retire there but DD moved to S Wales so we moved near her. Love N Wales though.

Do you do any art or craft? . Me ? Life drawing. Love the discipline.

AGAA4 Sat 28-May-22 15:25:21

I enjoy writing. I have written poems and had a go at a novel.

What sort of books do you read?

biglouis Sat 28-May-22 23:36:33

In fiction I enjoy SF, and good historical novels. In nonfiction biographies and books on the history of art, costume and antiques. Also read many travel books in the past when I was planning a holiday

Have you ever had a potentially dangerous experience when travelling?

Ive travelled on some very bad (and steep) roads in Nepal and Afghanistan where two vehicles had to pass. Very scary.

nanna8 Sun 29-May-22 07:08:11

Yes- off the north coast of Scotland we once set off in a small boat and the engine failed. I was hopeless at rowing, my husband was pointing us out towards the open sea but I nagged him and told him he was going the wrong way. Thankfully he listened and eventually we got back to shore.

Do you prefer wild and bushy gardens or very neat clipped type gardens? I like the bushy ones but I hate weeds, they have to go.

FannyCornforth Sun 29-May-22 09:09:16

Definitely wild and bushy!
Our garden is a bit mad.
I designed it and DH ‘did’ it.

What is currently your favourite thing in your garden?

I’m very pleased with the ferns. I love how they seem to come from back from the dead, and that they like the shade (like me)

Mollygo Sun 29-May-22 09:42:39

My garden has dandelions to support the tortoise. He looks so disappointed when DH mows the lawn that I have to rush out with bean sprouts and other delicacies. My favourite thing in the garden would be a ceanothus, if only it would grow like my next door neighbour’s does.
Is there anything that won’t grow for you?

biglouis Sun 29-May-22 15:22:36

I dont really do gardening but I used to be very successful with house plants. I never killed any of them.

Do you like reptiles or do you find them creepy?

I notice Mollygo mentioned a tortoise. I LOVE tortoises and always had 5/6 as a child until I left home for a flat and had to rehome them. They are wonderful pets and very little trouble if you can hibernate them properly. I also like lizards and snakes!

nanna8 Tue 31-May-22 09:02:57

I don’t mind them. We used to see a lot of snakes when we lived in Tasmania. If you leave them alone they leave you alone.

What is your favourite breed of dog ? I know it’s hard ! I like huskies and also collies.

FannyCornforth Tue 31-May-22 09:45:04

Tibetan spaniels. My first dog was one, she had a fantastic pedigree, but I sort of got her by accident. They are very hard to come by. I thought that I’d have to wait ages and go the other side of the country to get one.
But a farmer lady nearby had the last of the litter.
She was an absolute angel.
Current pooch is a Tibetan spaniel cross with Bichon frise.
She’s an angel too.

Same question please.
I could talk dogs all day ?

MrsKen33 Tue 31-May-22 12:21:12

Not a fan of dogs. We had one once , a red setter. She was a rescue dog and had ‘issues’. She ate the kitchen cupboards. So very wary of getting a dog now.

If you couldn’t have a dog, what would you have?

DanniRae Tue 31-May-22 12:24:30

I have always dreamed of having a huge house and lots of different breeds of dogs. They would have their own room to sleep in with access to their own garden.
I would have all bitches and the breeds would be:
An Irish Wolfhound
A Golden Retriever
A Black Labrador (I have had one of these in real life - my darling Emma)
A Yorkshire Terrier (had one of these too - my adorable Holly)
A Westie
A couple of rescue dogs too - any breed/combination of breed

At present we have a Jack Russell/Border Terrier Cross and she is the light of our life!!

Same question, please!

ginny Tue 31-May-22 14:12:01

Nothing other than a Labrador or two.
Too much of a tie now we are free to do as we like. Dd3 has a whippet lurched cross, have become quite fond of him.

When you are on holiday ( not an organised one) do you have a definite plan for each day ?
We tend to go with the flow and the weather.

AGAA4 Tue 31-May-22 15:07:56

If I am with my daughter there is always a plan but left to myself I would just do whatever I felt like hour by hour.

Which country would you like to visit?

Mollygo Tue 31-May-22 15:33:58

New Zealand-beautiful, and several friends to visit.

Same question.

biglouis Wed 01-Jun-22 00:07:00

The Galapagos Islands which are part of Ecuador. Always wanted to visit Yemen but there is a war there.

If you won a ticket to travel to the moon would you go?

MrsKen33 Wed 01-Jun-22 05:52:35

Good question.
No thanks. There’s a lot I need to see here first. The moon is a bit sterile but I would like to see the earth from space.

Same lovely question please

FannyCornforth Wed 01-Jun-22 06:09:21

Yes. Not that it’s something that I’d particularly want to do; but I’d regret it if I didn’t do it, and I’d consider it my fate.
The journey and everything that you’d learn would be amazing.
I can imagine that there’d be quite a few nice, extremely clever men involved too blush

What star sign are you?
Do you have the traits of your sign?
I’m on the cusp of Capricorn and Aquarius
