Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

AGAA4 Fri 29-Apr-22 09:28:22

Yes. Sometimes I have been driving at 5am in the summer. It is lovely then. Not much traffic.

Do you get up earlier in the summer?

crazyH Fri 29-Apr-22 09:30:18

I’ve often wanted to do that - they say dawn is the best part of the day., but laziness prevents and I only get up by 8.30

Beautiful sunshine out there - planning anything exciting?

hollysteers Fri 29-Apr-22 09:44:30

Nothing indoors sadly, art class then afternoon run through of songs with ‘band’

Would you say you are thick skinned or thin skinned?

henetha Fri 29-Apr-22 09:45:21

Going to pack a picnic in a minute and head for the coast.
Have a walk then sit in the car reading.

Do you ever go out on your own, or only with partner or friends?

henetha Fri 29-Apr-22 09:45:50

Sorry. Crossed.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 29-Apr-22 12:15:28

I think I'm fairly thick-skinned holly as I don't worry too much now about other people's opinions of me - I plough my own furrow, as it were. I've got my standards and I stick to them.

As I've mentioned on another thread I don't go out to cinema/theatre alone but am happy to shop or go for a coffee by myself.

How would you describe yourself in a nutshell?

BBbevan Fri 29-Apr-22 13:50:31

Just a bit eccentric.

Pyjamas, nightie or nothing?

ginny Fri 29-Apr-22 16:32:58

All sorts depending on the season and the weather or whereI am.

After a long busy day I often like to put on PJs and dressing gown to relax in the evening. Do you ?

AGAA4 Fri 29-Apr-22 16:38:11

Yes I always do. Then I am more or less ready for bed when I am tired later.

What is your first drink of the day?

crazyH Fri 29-Apr-22 17:17:33

Coffee

Are you a ‘glass half full’ or ‘glass half empty’ person ?

hollysteers Sat 30-Apr-22 11:37:21

I’m glass half full and often overflowing person. Not quite so much since DH died and two bouts of cancer, but life is full of good things still.

Do you go through the car wash or wash your car by hand and what about the inside?

FannyCornforth Sat 30-Apr-22 11:54:17

Well.
Look what the cat dragged in! ?‍⬛ ?

I don’t have my own car.
DH very rarely washes it.it one of those boring silver things that don’t show the dirt.
We used to have an old jag. It was beautiful, but it died.
Anyway, the present vehicle gets hand washed down the road when it’s lucky.

I’m really chuffed to be back (again)
What are you pleased about today?

Mollygo Sat 30-Apr-22 12:54:12

I’ve at last managed to post a present to my DD, take part in an ‘elderly person’ photoshoot for a school topic, (I offered to do the photography!!), walked the dog twice and watched admiringly as my grandson mowed the lawn for us.

Have you heard about Cadent doing work on gas pipes, which involves people coming into your home or digging up your garden. We just got a leaflet, but I’m not sure if it’s a scam.

crazyH Sat 30-Apr-22 14:00:32

Don’t know about that Mollygo, but 2 years ago, the water board were laying new pipes, and they had to dig up my garden to take the water to the house behind mine. The workmen were very polite, got on with the job with as little disruption to me as possible. They had to dismantle an old shed of mine, but I didn’t complain because they replaced it with a brand new one of my choice.
I don’t think we have a choice in the matter, but talk to your neighbours. Perhaps they’ve had similar letters .

crazyH Sat 30-Apr-22 14:05:13

Sorry, forgot:

My 20 year old grandson pops in occasionally for a chat and a bite to eat. Did some burgers , chips and green beans. Do your AC pop in for a chat and lunch ?

AGAA4 Sat 30-Apr-22 14:09:24

No because they live a long way away but it would be nice.

Do you ever get fed up with your clothes? I decided not to buy any new ones but seem to wear the same sort of thing every day

henetha Sat 30-Apr-22 16:48:27

Yes, I get very fed up with my clothes, especially since I made the decision to not buy any more unless absolutely necessary.
I'd like to throw the whole lot out and start again.

Are you short sighted? Need glasses for distance? Or the opposite? I'm having trouble reading small print these days.

Yammy Sat 30-Apr-22 17:00:30

I'm Long sighted.
Where do you buy your glasses? Mine are Bulgari and look no better than my friends Spec Saver's pair mine are a rip-off.

henetha Sat 30-Apr-22 17:04:25

Specsavers. They have a good selection.

hollysteers Sun 01-May-22 09:25:09

Mine are from an independent cheap glasses manufacturer rather than an optician. I just take the prescription and they make them up, but I’m thinking of going to a proper optician as having a strong prescription , I fancy getting them thinner with all the works they can do now.

If Christian, are you High Church or Low Church?

FannyCornforth Mon 02-May-22 11:02:37

I think that’s just C of E, isn’t it?

I’m not a church goer. My family on
my mom’s side went to a Methodist Church, and we’re very much part of church life, but I think that’s just because most of the nearby churches were Methodist.

I worked at a (very) Catholic school.
There are lots of elements of Catholicism that I’m attracted too.

But, I don’t really have a faith , unfortunately.
I think that I’m probably a Pagan at heart, I venerate the natural world. But then nature is extremely cruel

Oh I don’t know! ?‍♀️ smile

What’s your idea of a perfect evening out?
Mine would be a mini pub crawl in Whitby at Christmas time.
Buying bits and bobs at the jewellery, gift and book shops.
Sitting by an open fire, drinking wine with views of the sea.
Taking fish and chips back to a nearby rented cottage.
Just me, DH and Gracie ♥️

MrsKen33 Mon 02-May-22 11:30:28

That sounds goodFanny might join you in that one..

Changing our car soon. What would you have if you could chose anything ?

FannyCornforth Mon 02-May-22 11:41:34

MrsKen have you recently changed your name? ?

Apologies if I’m barking up the wrong tree
(or as my dad’s wife says - barking at the wrong end of the stick)

MrsKen33 Mon 02-May-22 11:57:25

How ever did you guess Fanny ?

FannyCornforth Mon 02-May-22 12:23:09

Ha ha! That is so funny! I love it!
The funny thing is (well to me) is that my lovely Nan really was a Mrs Ken! My grandad was Ken.

Car wise, I only really like old cars. Cars these days are all so boring.
I really don’t understand why they don’t design them properly anymore.
What are you thinking of getting Ken?
