Hello!👋
Welcome to the new thread 😊

Julie Walters is playing the part of me (or Helena Bonham Carter, if I’m having a very good day) and Juliette Greco is playing MrsKen.

Which actress is playing the part of you?

ginny Sat 14-Jan-23 15:32:21

Could it be somewhere in Cornwall ?

FannyCornforth Sat 14-Jan-23 15:39:38

Northumberland?

MrsKen33 Sat 14-Jan-23 16:49:31

No Denmark would be good.

Carry on please

swampy1961 Sat 14-Jan-23 20:28:14

How about Greece?

We have to carry on for the answer!!

SachaMac Sat 14-Jan-23 21:23:20

Is it in Wales

henetha Sat 14-Jan-23 22:31:33

A Scottish island ? Isles of Scilly?
No FannyCornforth, no decision about a cat yet. I'll tell you why next week.
Back to questions? Where in Europe would you move to?

crazyH Sat 14-Jan-23 22:42:20

All wrong …..
I will reveal tomorrow - clue, not in Europe

henetha Sat 14-Jan-23 22:43:32

Oh! Australia??

crazyH Sat 14-Jan-23 22:44:22

Not in the Western Hemisphere either

henetha Sat 14-Jan-23 22:50:20

Japan? I'm stumped Crazy! No doubt I'll find out tomorrow. 😊

FannyCornforth Sun 15-Jan-23 02:11:25

Thank you henetha, I’ll hold you to it!

I’m having loads of hassle with Sky at the moment.
Which company’s customer service has caused you most grief?

MrsKen33 Sun 15-Jan-23 03:44:31

Royal Mail at the moment. Hardly any of my Christmas cards posted in early December reached their destinations in England, And we go days without a delivery.

Are you waiting forcrazyH s answer?

SachaMac Sun 15-Jan-23 09:19:49

Yes, I’m intrigued, I think it could be somewhere in the Caribbean.

I’m off to see a film this afternoon, the Whitney Houston Film I Wanna Dance with Somebody. What was the last film you went to see at the cinema?

Mollygo Sun 15-Jan-23 09:27:25

Avatar-the Way of Water

Have you suffered any damage with this weather?

HowVeryDareYou Sun 15-Jan-23 09:28:08

The last film I saw at the cinema was "Joker", starring Joaquin Phoenix.

Do you watch DVDs? (we've got about 800 in the loft, belonging to our son, but never watch any)

crazyH Sun 15-Jan-23 09:58:51

Goodmorning all !
First, let me answer HVDY’s question. No, I don’t watch DVDs. I have one or two lying around. The rest I took to the charity shop.
And to elaborate on the previous the ‘geography’ of the place of my birth. It WAS a beautiful little coastal hamlet called Tangasseri, almost at the very tip of India (Kerala). It’s a few years since I went back, but from what my friends tell me, it’s now overdeveloped. Most of the old colonial houses, including mine, have been sold and converted into huge mansions. I am now left with just beautiful memories.

My question: I used to love watching movies. But now, I find I don’t have the patience to sit through a couple of hours of fiction. I prefer documentaries of any kind, especially Nature. What type of TV programmes do you watch?

AGAA4 Sun 15-Jan-23 14:17:34

Your little hamlet sounds ideal crazyH
I watch series but I do seem to be losing my taste for TV lately.

What would be your ideal place to live - village town or city?

biglouis Sun 15-Jan-23 14:49:54

If I won a multi million lottery I would like to live on a private island accessible only by air. Then I would 100% control who has access.

Same question!

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 15-Jan-23 16:35:30

I like a town because there are facilities such as shops and usually transport links to hospitals, etc.

Same again - village, town or city?

MrsKen33 Sun 15-Jan-23 17:08:25

We live in a tiny hamlet but excellent access to a good village 10 mins walk to a good library, doctor, dentist and two good grocery shops.

Shall we continue with that question?

crazyH Sun 15-Jan-23 19:22:33

Ok
Town

If you have more than one child, do you find your sons are easier to deal with, than your daughters ?

SachaMac Sun 15-Jan-23 23:35:28

I think I’d say yes to that but then my DS is very easy going. I don’t have any problems with my daughters but they are a little more confrontational.

Do you watch Happy Valley? I’m hooked!

MrsKen33 Mon 16-Jan-23 06:32:43

Yes just started series one. ….We are a bit slow here. Love it so far. Binged watched a bit yesterday then just had to stop and rest,.

MrsKen33 Mon 16-Jan-23 06:33:48

Sorry question.

Are there any other series you have just had to binge watch ?

biglouis Mon 16-Jan-23 14:06:14

I binged watched:

Game of thrones
House of dragons (very disappointed)
Marie Antoinette (load of rubbish but nice costumes)
The Rig
Becoming Elizabeth
Line of Duty (Best crime/police series Ive ever watched)
