Some dream about a simpler life
Away from politics and strife

Simple old games like whip and top....
In the rhyme, the weasel went pop
Skipping was great
Playing out late
If naughty, getting a wallop

We travelled on foot everywhere
Didn't feel it was a nightmare
Or off on the bus
Without any fuss
Assuming that we had the fare.

An hours work earned you just a bob
Had such a laugh
My boss he was daft
And I learned that he worked for the Mob.

He went by the name of Big Max
And was chased to pay income tax.
He then went to jail,
He couldn't get bail,
Because money he chronically lacks.
