Advice on filling in a pond

I filled mine in. After draining and removing plastic liner i filled hole with rubble then eaarth. left it a couple of days to sink and gave it a good watering. topped up earth and left another week. few holes to top up then planted grass seed. now you would never know it had been there

Or you could - depends where it is situated - keep the liner and make more holes in it then make a bog garden with lots of lovely ferns and gorgeous flowers that thrive in damp conditions like Japanese Irises.
