I planted my tulips last week, in pots. The squirrels buried peanuts and the badgers tipped over the pots. I heard that sprinkling the soil with hot curry powder would deter wildlife. Unfortunately this made no difference, I have had to replant the bulbs several times. For the moment I have covered them with pot saucers and bricks, but obviously when they begin to sprout I shall have to uncover them. I think I shall try chicken wire fastened securely around the rim. Any other suggestions?
