Oh that's lovely! When I was with exdh we had a nuthatch raise a brood in our bard, and swallows with a nest that we could look right into fro our landing window!
It was so nice to be able to look at the baby birds from less than a foot away!

Lovely, ga, but I think you should make at least one of the names feminine. Possibly all of them

What a lovely surprise I have a blue tit in my wood but my birds only come to feed in my front cottage garden

Heard a lovely story from a man at bowls a little while ago. His grown up childre knew he loved the birds in the garden, so they bought him one of those cameras and mikes which record wild-life activity. He duly placed this in the trees at the bottom of the garden, and enjoyed not only the activity of the birds, but also the conversations of the people using the footpath which was behind the trees !

I have all sorts of birds nesting in my garden, which really surprises me because there are so many semi feral farm cats here. This year a Crow has hatched 2, they are so funny to watch, she brought them onto the shed roof then proceeded to teach them to fly, at first they just stood there squawking, then slowly realised what their mother wanted & tried to follow, not too successful at first but a couple of tries & they were away. This morning they woke me up doing a tap dance on my flat roofed bedroom , strange isn't it if that had been anything else I would have been cross but animal or birds & I love it. I have loads of nesting boxes & feeders around the place & I have chickens & ducks so always plenty of food around for them to go for, I have squirrels visiting too & so far they have never destroyed anything, I love to sit in my recliner & watch them through the window, they are so funny, every now & then they will stop & look straight at me through the window, enjoy your garden & nature everyone

Sad day yesterday an injured blue tit fluttering and floundering. Put him in a safe cage with some water and seed, but of course they don't really stand a chance do they? I always seem to get really upset when animals die, and I am not usually the sentimental type.

I hate to see any animal or bird die, like you I have tried with injured birds but they never survive
