Wonderful- our garden is hidden under tons of snow- but I have decided to stop growing veg, as they are so cheap and fresh here on the local French markets in season- and just grow raspberries- the ones I have ripen in August and September, until the frosts come- so will try and plant some earlier varieties. They freeze (indiviually on trays first, then bagged) so well, and keep us going all winter. And I just so love picking them fresh of the bush- safe from any danger from local foxes (leptospirosis).

Just love them, and they grow brilliantly up here in the mountains.

Many thanks to the boozey GN gardeners who suggested uses for excess raspberries and blackcurrents. My raspberry gin was wonderful and the Kir Royale using home-made Creme de Cassis went down a treat tchhmm
