On the roundabout at the Gordano valley M5 intersection, there is a a hazel tree that is absolutely loaded with nuts. It's position is completely inaccessible to anyone. What a waste

You can cut off any bits that you like, people used to use them as a crop for fencing, cutting stems from right at the base of the shrub. However it is a very large-growing shrub that can reach 20 feet or more naturally, so you will maybe find it best to cut a third of the stems out each year in rotation. You won't get as many cobnuts though.
