I bought one for an office at work years ago. It grew well for a few years, then gradually lost its leaves. The air-conditioned room was rather warm and dry. It either got watered by nobody or everbody, which was probably the reason. I left it when I retired, so wouldn't be surprised if it was then chucked out.
