Squirrels have eaten my compost bin!

Phew!

Definitely squirrels! I did worry it was rats to start with so was relieved to see they were in fact squirrels. The ones I caught were speedy little critters. Think they'd enjoyed my morning coffee grounds!
Not terribly happy about my compost bin lid though. Can't very well replace it - and even if I could I'd probably have to do so regularly.

Other than thick steel reinforcements, no. They can chew their way through most things little devils. They do look sweet though...
