Lilac tree in flower.

Hi all one of the elderly Lilac trees in the garden is flowering.
It is the first time I have seen this, the trees are old and we plan on cutting them back a lot this year.
We have two other Lilac trees one just 3 metres from this one.
It is an inner city walled garden which gets the sun all day.
Has anyone has this happen with their Lilacs.

Not me. We have several in our garden, both purple and white, but they all flowered much earlier in the year and are now over. Lucky you!

Unfortunately the flowers are so high up we can only see them from DDs' bedroom.
They are on a really dead looking branch,,,.
I almost cut that whole part of the tree down on Friday, I might give it another chance,,,,maybye it is trying to tell me something [hmn]
