Any idears

Kitty day lilies can take a while to settle, if they've been moved. Having said that, I was expecting mine to have a year off, as I'd moved then from old house. But they have flowered for about a month.
Gardening is full of unexpected surprises!

My day lilies must have hear me threatening to take them out as they hadn't flowered last year. They are fabulous now!

I think it will take take to grow petra. I am not sure. Or else go with the experienced faculty.

It is in full sun from about 11o/clock. I'll just leave it and see what happens.

I like the pot btw

Husband didn't see your photo until I'd posted. He says it looks healthy. Is it in full sun? All the literature says they can tolerate partial shade, but he wouldn't advise it. This is a variegated plant overwintered from last year.

You say that they like to be pot bound but advise that I put them in a larger pot?
They are in a pot that is 16x 16" and as you can see there is a lot of space around the plant.

Ours are just beginning to flower.

A quick jerk!

My husband grows alstroemerias or Peruvian lilies. He says you should re-pot it into a slightly larger pot, they like being pot bound, and then put it in full sun. When the flowers are finished do not cut them off! He says to pull them out with a which jerk, from the roots and that will encourage them to make more flowers. He feeds them weekly with Richard Jackson's plant food ( I hope I'm not accused of advertising here?). They are funny things to get to flower, but don't give up.

Some of the lily family are strange creatures. Perhaps it will surprise you. I had given up on my spider lily this year. It didn't flower last year but I had leaves. Up until yesterday there was no sign of growth at all and then two inches of new growth has appeared overnight, seemingly out of nowhere! Same with Day Lilies. It sits there a mass of leaves and then suddenly, just as you give up on it, there's a mass of flower spikes. Having said that, sometimes they seem to have 'rest years' when they don't flower. I hope this isn't one of them and that someone will be along with better information than me!
