We have just ordered a wooden potting shed as we will be using it more for planting and storage of garden furniture than anything valuable. Thinking that if its got windows down one side any ner do well will soon see its not full of power tools and leave it alone - its a lovely area here but I'm getting to be an old cynic. We are having it made with tanalised wood and then painted a nice shade of herby green....it will come with a 15 year guarantee so suspect it will outlast one of us....more or less!
Avoid plastic for numerous reasons- looks horrible, hot in summer, cold in winter, will no doubt be made in China and its manufacture will have polluted the air and seas, it will crack and break but isn’t biodegradable so will be in the ground for the next 500 + years if the planet lasts that long. Wood may require maintenance but looks much nicer and if/ when it falls apart it can repaired or be disposed of safely.
Hi on a previous thread I mentioned having an old wooden shed pulled down. Now to make a decision on a new one. I have seen some nice plastic Keter sheds and store its, and wondered if anyone has one and what they think. They look very nice on Amazon and the thing that appeals to me is No Maintainence but are they strong V a wooden one?
