Even up here in the mountains, it is 34C in shade - 45 down by the lake. Crazy, and unknown for June in Eastern France. Hotter than Corsica or the Ballearics, etc.

Could you send a little bit this way please jura its freezing here in the NE of England.

My son is in The Ukraine at the minute and apparently the temperature is tipping 40 degrees there at the minute too. A wee bit too hot for me, but a little bit of it wouldn't go amiss.

well lucky you.... its humid here .so just relaxing and catching up on emails and complaints to my local council.

It's hot here too! H needs to water the grass but at the moment it's impossible to venture outside.

It’s warm here on the South Coast, but not at all settled. Humid and cloudy this morning, sunny and humid this afternoon.

Just sat and had a Magnum.

I recently been in N Australia, temp high 30s, SO impressed with their attention to maintaining adequate hydration- think we could take lessons from them.

So so miserable here - no gardening either! smile
But I have finished the new Kate Atkinson so every cloud and all that!

It is freezing here in Leicestershire but we've not had to have the heating on today.

Sun has been out for about and hour in our corner of Somerset so I’ve managed to take a cardigan off. Feels quite warm now, I hope a good omen for tomorrow. Well, I can hope grin.

It still remains cool here in the NW and I've been glad of my jumper. Somehow I don't think we'll get the same warmth as everywhere else. It's been pretty cold and dull all day but my bit of washing will be dry.
The highest temp will be Saturday--26 degrees with a storm !

Well I finally managed to plant out some spinach once the rain stopped. I needed to ear both a fleece and waterproof!

oh my, still S C O R C H I O here ... at least up here in t'mountains it always cools a tad at night- but I pity those living in the plains and by the lakes.

Here in the Rhine Valley it's always a few degrees above the predicted temperature. The prediction was 38° at least for today.

Last night at 10 pm it was still so hot I couldn't even summon up the energy to go and have a shower to cool down.

I switch off at about 27° so nothing is getting done. We are going away at the weekend. I am dreading it, 40° is forecast! At least at home I don't have to wear clothes.

Just looked at the thermometer on the back porch 40c in the shade! Far too hot for me these days. I'm going to England on Saturday for a few days ( unfortunately for a funeral). I just hope it's a bit cooler there. I'm only taking hand luggage and don't know what to pack!!

nonnasusie Fri 28-Jun-19 14:55:15

And here!!

EllanVannin Fri 28-Jun-19 15:20:54

Warm, but a rather cool breeze blowing from the river. No cardigan on--------yet !

jura2 Fri 28-Jun-19 15:23:14

Where abouts are you nonnasusie (roughly) - must say it is just too much for me. Just put several buckets of cold water in jakuzzi again - and will wait until sun is down to go and cool down.

Very very hot again - but will switch off from GN before I get into trouble elsewhere.

Boiling - in more ways than one.

Well, we were supposed to have a massive thunderstorm last night, and a much cooler day today. We were surrounded with distant lightening on all sides - apparently it was really bad at the Montreux Jazz Festival on Lake Geneva (my friend was there watching Sting - she was sooo excited)- but here, nought. And today it is boiling again, 34C in the shade.

Young friends in the Montpellier region have seen their vineyards burnt dry and this year's crop decimated.
So ... no gardening today- will be out there at about 9is to water.
