Here is one of my Paniculatas. I remember we bought them at the same time, lemongrove, but mine is Sundae Fraise, a smaller version. I like the way the flowers turn pink as they mature. I am also happy with my pink Annabelle, although I haven't given it enough space so that it is jumbled with other stuff. The Runaway Bride which was the Chelsea plant of 2018 is disappointing. It is supposed to flower at each leaf joint and tip. So far the tips have no buds.

Does anyone have a 'Glam Rock'? The first pic is how it should look but mine have flowers which are mainly green and ugly, despite planting in ericaseous compost as recommended. I also tried the 'blueing' agent.

They’re all amazing. I love Glam Rock, but I’d like to keep my tradition and find a poorly ones! I could always find a corner for it.

Is it the soil that makes some blue and some pink. I love the blue ones but the only ones in our garden are pink.

I'm not sure if it works but I read somewhere if you want your pink hydrangeas to turn blue increase the acidity of the soil by sprinkling coffee grounds around them.Has anyone else heard this ?Well I've saved the grounds from our morning coffee pot the last few days and done it we'll see ?

Gorgeous photos! We don’t have hydrangeas in this garden though I had then in my last one. Must try and find room for one or two. I like the lace caps. Keep an eye open for hydrangea scale. We found some on my friend’s plants this summer, and apparently it is troublesome this year.

I love all the pictures of hydrangeas here. I have a rescued one, that has black stems, and it is just beginning to flower. As it was in the TLC corner, it didn’t have a label, so I was wondering if anyone could identify it, not that it matters, I love it anyway. Picture complete with weeds and nigella seed heads!

Auntieflo, that looks like it might be a variety of hydrangea macrophylla called Black Steel Zambia. I love the dark stems - very striking!
