Hoping for some advice from other Gransnet peeps on identifying two plants? - we've recently moved house and there's rather a lot of them, I don't want them taking over the garden! Lol

I believe they're Oxalis

Pink Wood Sorrel

I’m no expert but the clover like one looks like an oxalis which is a weed while the other looks like a heather or Erica.

Sorrel and Oxalis are different names for the same plant.

I think the first picture is oxalis, and the second one is heather.

Sorrel is lovely in salad.

You probably don’t want them ....but you will get an idea of what will grow in your new garden.

Many thanks. I may keep the Heather unless it spreads too much.

I agree with Minimoon. The first one is Oxalis and the second Heather.

I had missed looking at the second picture. I’d put both the names of the Oxalis and it can actually look really pretty when it flowers. A neighbour had them planted all the way round the edge of his borders and we used to look forward to them flowering.
